A Comparison Between Islam, Christianity And Judaism And The Choice Between Them

All praises are due to Allah Lord of the worlds, Originator of the heavens and the Earth, the Creator of darkness and light, I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone without ascribing any partners to him, the Protector of the believers and the One who guides them to the straight path. I testify that Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him is his slave and messenger. O’ Allah send your peace and blessing upon Muhammad the Prophet and seal of the Prophets and Messengers, who was sent with the illumination, he delivered the trust and admonished his nation and Allah wiped away all of the darkness, and peace and blessings be upon his wives and his purified household and his blessed companions, who gave him victory and all those who were guided from his guidance, and emulated his way, and followed his traditions till the Day of Judgment.

As to what follows:

In the recent past especially since the advent of the satellite T.V channel, there has been a stark increase in the attacks on the religion of God, Islam, the aim is simply to lead people astray from it.

It has manifested itself in spite of the increased number of people accepting Islam around the world. They are systematically exploiting peoples ignorance about Islam and perpetually poisoning.

Therefore with the will and grace of Allah in this treatise a comparative study of Islam Christianity and Judaism, with particular attention to their creeds respectively.

This will clarify for us the authentic from the unreliable, the acceptable and the unacceptable, so that the objective reader can decide with certainty between the three faiths.

To begin with I plea to all parties be they; Muslim Christian or Jew to free themselves from partisanship and their desires when choosing what is more deserving to be followed, as this decision will be a proof against them on the Day of Judgment, in front of Allah. So it is important at the beginning that one takes a moment with oneself being absolutely truthful with oneself and Allah in the sincere search for the truth, before a day where neither money nor offspring with assist them, except a man who will go to Allah with a sound heart.

I ask Allah to guide us all to the truth that has no doubt, and that he expand our chest and that he enables us to tread upon the path of truth, His path, until the day we meet him indeed he is the One who is capable of doing it.

Who are “The People of The Book”?

The term The People of The Book in brief refer to the Christians and the Jews who were recipients of the “heavenly religions” respectively.

There is little doubt that these faiths had been altered and have deviated from their original course, and by doing so were no longer within the guidance that God Almighty had chosen for human kind.

What ties the Christians to the Jews and what are the similarities between the two?

Before looking furthers one must note that the Christians and the Jews are in opposition of one another and have severe enmity between them and so unifying them is impossible.

One of the main causes for these irreconcilable differences is their differing creeds, as the Christians believe in the divinity of Christ and say that he is one of three in the trinity, claiming that he was crucified and killed on the cross at the hands of the Jews, he was then resurrected from the dead and raised to heaven.

On the contrary the Jews in turn completely deny the prophet-hood of Jesus claiming that he was illegitimately born out of wedlock, and are condescending of his mother.

The points of contention between the two are numerous but the point indicated above is sufficient to show that brining together these two faiths is an impossible task.

Despite the efforts of the world media to show Christianity and Judaism in a good light as partners of one another and with a mutual agreement between the two, the truth could not be further away, and this is only a veneer that they both are content with in order to demonise and attack Islam, which is a commonality between the two.

The truth behind the façade is the following:

The Jews are convinced that if they rebuild the structure of Solomon then their Saviour will emerge and he is the Messiah Dajjal (the anti-Christ) as is foretold in their scripture.

And in that fact is a testimony to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who said; “ the Dajjal (anti-Christ) with be followed by 70,000 of the Jews of Asafhaan who will be wearing the Tayaalisah” or clothes of their religious men” One may ask if this is the number of their clergymen what is the number of their congregation.

Their belief having rejected the prophet hood of Jesus are waiting for their saviour who was mentioned in their scripture who will subjugate the people of the Earth for them, what is even more shocking is that the Anti-Christ who will be believed in by the Jews as their saviour, will be blind in one eye and have a human body and will finite and definable, i.e. in a particular place, which is something not attributable to Almighty God who is not encompassed in a place like the Messiah of the Jews.

As for the Christians:

Then their belief revolves around the fact that if the Anti-Christ emerges then that would signal the beginning of a new era for the Christians who will again rule the
Earth from Jerusalem. So the Christians consider the Jews a stepping-stone to eventual world domination.

This is why they the Christians are anxious that if the Muslims were to be victorious against the Jews this would delay the decent of Christ.

So it is clear the reason why the West and particularly the U.N is obsessed with supporting the state of Israel even when they have established a country on stolen land.

So from what has been clarified the veneer of peace between the Christians and Jews is one built on mutual benefits for both of them and yet there lies a deep resentment and enmity between the two that can result in any moment spilling in to war, if recent history is anything to go by. Ramadan: A Gift For Muslims

Nouman Ali Khan

The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. A Message To A Christian

This message is for every Christian who is welling to search for the truth with a sincere desire, and a broad mind to provide him with answers to questions that would otherwise take him long time to find.

Since you are a Christian, have you ever thought of the origin of Christmas; or how genuine is Christmas? Or, do you consider Christmas a social tradition or a ritual? If you consider it a social tradition, then there is no room for it in you faith. If it as a ritual, then it should hav:e. an origin in your Bible. If it does not have an origin in your Bible, then, either the Bible is false or Christmas is. It is time you should know the truth about Christ and Christmas. Here is what Britannica Encyclopedia has to say about Christmas:

Christnlas (Old English “Christ’s Mass”) Christian festival celebrated on December 25, commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ and is also a popular secular holiday. According to a Roman almanac, the Christian festival of Christmas was celebrated in Rome by AD 336.

The ecclesiastical calendar retains numerous remnants of pre-Christian festivals-notably Christmas, UJhich blends elements including both the feasts of the Saturnalia and the birthday of Mithra.

The development of legends

Legends developed in Christianity because of a need to answer questions posed by the less intellectual Christians, the need for stories of exemplary Christians, and the transference of the deeds of pagan gods and goddesses in popular piety to those zuho are of saints and martyrs. Many Christians UJere not satisfied with the gaps in the narration of Christ’s life in the canonical Gospels. There thus developed several apocrypha,l often influenced by Gnosticism, that provided legendary accounts of Christ’s life, as well as those of the Apostles.2

Since you are a fellow human being, first and foremost, we are concerned about your spiritual welfare;’ hence we have prepared this message for you.

Mankind belong to one single father, Adam, and have one single God, Allah, Who has brought them into existence, and provided them with their means of substance in order to worship Him alone. It is inconceivable that the God Who created the universe and every thing in it to need help; let alone taking a son or a spouse, or a partner. He was all by Himself when there was nothing in existence; then He created mankind and the rest of the creation for one single purpose, that is to worship Him. Continue reading

A Word For Word Meaning Of The Qur’an (3 Volume Set)

This set places one or a couple of words of the ‘ayah in one line of a column and gives their meanings side by side in another column, taking care to see that the flow and intelligibility of the English meanings are not thereby lost. This method enables the reader to identify which English words or phrases represent the meaning of which words in the Arabic text. It has the additional advantage of keeping the meaning strictly to the wording of the text or importing in the meaning any word or expression that has no correspondence with anything in the text.

To further facilitate the understanding of the text, the meanings of almost all important words in the text have been given separately. To do this a number has been placed on the English word which represents the meaning of the particular word in the text and then the meanings of that word have been given under that number in another column by the side of the general meaning of the text. The numbering has been kept individual for each page. Also grammatical notes, particularly verb forms and verbal nouns, have been given as far as possible. As the words recur at different pages, so their meanings and grammatical notes also have been repeated, giving cross reference to at least one previous occurrence of the word, indicating the page on which and the number under which the word has been explained before. The aim has been to enable a non-Arab reader to understand the Qur’an as well as to improve his knowledge of Arabic, particularly the Qur’anic Arabic. Continue reading

The Ultimate Pleasure Of A Believer On This Earth

Shiekh Ahmad Musa Jibril

Many Qur’aanic verses speak about the excellence of Qiyam and the merits of those people, who perform Qiyaam al-Layl on a regular basis, for example, Allah describes the believers who deserve Jannah saying: “They (the believers) forsake their beds, to invoke their Lord in fear and hope; and they spend out of what We have bestowed on them.” [Soorah as-Sajdah (32): 16] “They (the pious) used to sleep but little at night.” [Soorah ath-Thariyat (51): 17]

Also, numerous Ahadeeth add to this subject, narrated Abu Hurayrah (radhi allahu anhu): “The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) said: “The best prayer after those prescribed is (the prayer performed) in the depth of night.” [Saheeh Muslim and Musnad Ahmad]

He (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) also said: “The most beloved prayer to Allah was of Dawud (alaihi as-salaam). He slept one half of the night, got up (and prayed) for one third, and then slept (the remaining) one sixth.” [Saheeh al-Bukharee and Saheeh Muslim] Continue reading

A Message To Who Does Not Believe In Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

A Scientific and Material Speech to this who does not believe in Muhammad the Messenger of Allah

Mocking Allah, His verses and His Messenger has become a normal thing nowadays and it comes in most cases from abroad, where atheists claim that Islam is a religion of underdevelopment, terrorism and ignorance. That›s why the enemies of Islam continued to mock its teachings, claiming that they have become out of date and do not fit the times!

Glorified be Allah! Has freedom of expression become, from their point of view, their freedom to mock the greatest creature of Allah (PBUH)? However, apparently, those have not found any scientific thing to criticize Islam for; thus, they tended to use these desperate cartoons. They failed to extract any scientific or linguistic mistake from the Noble Qur›an or the ahadith (speeches) of the greatest Messenger to convince their followers about it, except these cartoons, which reflect their bankruptcy.

We have the right to express our opinion about such things, but, we do not mock their prophets, Moses and Jesus, peace be upon them, as they are quit of them and their deeds and because we do not differentiate between these honored prophets, as they are all messengers from Allah (Exalted be He). But, before doing so, let›s listen to this saying of Allah (Exalted be He) about those people and the like of them:

«Surely the ones who hurt Allah and His Messenger, Allah has cursed them in the present (life) (Literally: the lowly (life), i.e., the life of this world) and the Hereafter, and He has prepared for them a degrading torment *** And the ones who hurt male believers and female believers, without that they have earned it, then they have readily burdened themselves calumny and evident vice» [Surat Al-Ahzab: 57-58].

These cartoons hurt Allah and mock His Messenger and represent a severe hurt to every male and female believer. That›s why the likes of those are promised a painful torment on the Day of Judgment, if they do not stop doing such act.

Our style of expression will be more severe and enduring than theirs, which is no more than cartoons that do not reflect anything except illusions existing no where but in the imagination of their author. We will address those (people) in the language of science, which they failed to use in addressing us! And we will tell them the reality of that merciful Prophet (PBUH).

I am not going to talk about the good manners and the wonderful attributes that the final Prophet had, because those do not have these manners and do not recognize it, but, we will direct a scientific and material speech to them, including the facts that this honored Prophet brought with him and are present in the Qur›an and recited fourteen centuries ago and up till now. I tell those, who are proud of science and justice, because they represent technically advanced countries and they are democratic countries that believe in justice and rights, we say: the Qur’an, which you mock, was the first book to call for science and justice, and these two are the measures of success and continuity of any civilization.

Indeed, the first word sent down to that honored Prophet was «read» and this proves that Islam is the religion of science. While, the last word sent down of the Qur’an was «they will not be done injustice» and this proves that Islam is the religion of justice. Thus, what you boast today, our Prophet (PBUH) preceded you to it long centuries ago.

You say that you are the first to call for searching the history of universe and creatures and you are proud of this, but we ask you to read the saying of Allah (Exalted be He) in the Noble Qur›an, about an explicit and direct call to investigate the beginning of creation: «Say, “Travel in the earth, then look how He began creation. Thereafter Allah brings into being the last bringing up. Surely Allah is Ever-Determiner of everything» [Surat Al-Ankabut: 20]. This proves Qur›an›s interest in investigation, contemplation, research and study.

Indeed, our Prophet (PBUH) has set a scientific basis for astronomy and cosmic phenomena, when people thought the sun eclipsed for the death of Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet (PBUH), so he said: (the sun and the moon are two signs of Allah’s (Exalted be He) and they do not eclipse for the death or life of anybody). [Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

These words of the Prophet of mercy (PBUH) came at a time when you used to believe that eclipse is an indication of the birth of a great person or his death, the fall of a governor or the loss of a battle.

At a time when Europe was full of priests, astrologers and charlatans and those were believed by most people then. At this time, our Prophet (PBUH) prohibited such acts as he said: (anyone who goes to a priest or a fortuneteller and believes him in what he says, he has disbelieved in what was sent down to Muhammad) [narrated by Ahmad].

At the time when you thought that the earth is stable and immobile, the Qur’an set a scientific fact confirming that everything in universe rotates in a specific orbit and this fact was not discovered except recently. He (Exalted be He) says about the earth, the sun and the moon: «and each is swimming in an orbit» [Surat Ya-sin: 40]. Continue reading

We are publishing this book with two purposes in mind. One is to signify the meanings of the statement of Faith, which is Laa ilaaha illallaah; and what position it should hold in our lives. The conditions and the requirements of the statement of Faith are clearly described for our children in such a style that they will grasp it without any difficulty.

All the Articles of Faith have been explained to them in a very easy manner. In fact every child gets the clear idea of all the requirements of Faith by reading this book, and this was one aim which has been achieved in a perfect manner. The second aim was to promote healthy extracurricular activities in the school children. Various types of debates, writing competitions and sports produce sound effects both mentally and physically upon the children. They become fluent in expressing themselves through words whether it is by speaking or by writing. Such competitions increase the thinking capabilities of the children, making them creative and expressive. Continue reading

A Gift To The Barailwis

All thanks to Allah, Lord of the Universe, and may His salah and salam be on our Prophet (saw), his household and companions.

I have compiled this small booklet in order to show to Bralwis laymen that the great scholars of this community oppose the creed of Ahmad Raza Khan. But as Brawlis scholars have put hatred in the hearts of their followers towards the Salafis and Ahlul Hadith, if I was to translate myself quotes of scholars, Brawlis would not read it, saying Salafis are liars. That is why, in this booklet, I have only gathered sayings of scholars as translated and published by Sufis themselves, so Brawlis cannot say these Sufis translators are liars.

Aisha Bewley, Abdassammad Clarke, Muhtar Holland, Nuh Keller, Abdal Hakim Murad, Nancy Roberts and all others are all well known Sufis, so Brawlis should at least aknowledge that their translation is correct, and all these scholars quoted such as Al-Ghazali, Qadhi ‘Iyad, An-Nawawi, Al-Qurtubi, As-Suyuti, Shah Waliyullah, Ibn Rajab, Ash-Shirazi, Al-Amidi, Ibnul Hajib, Al-Baydawi, Al-Jilani, Shurunbulali and all others oppose the creed of Ahmad Raza Khan.

I have also translated some quotes from Bralwi scholars themselves, from their books written in Urdu, such as the Tafsir of Al-Muradabadi, the tafsir “Dhiya ul-Quran” of Karam Shah Al- Bhervi and the Sharh of “Sahih Muslim” of Ghulam Rasul As-Sa’idi, as Brawlis generally know Urdu and can check these books themselves.

And Ghulam Rasul As-Sa’idi quoted scholars such as An-Nawawi, Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani, Badrudin Al-‘Ayni, Mulla Ali Al-Qari, Al-Qurtubi, Al-Alusi, Ar-Razi and others saying that prophets can err in matters of Ijtihad.

So Bralwis laymen cannot deny these quotes and they have to acknowledge that all these great scholars oppose the creed of Ahmad Raza Khan.

My aim is only to show the proofs from Quran and Hadith, with the interpretatrion of these Great scholars, as for guidance, then only Allah can guide Brawlis. May Allah send Salah and Salam on His Messenger (saw), his family, companions. Continue reading

Scriptures Of Christianity And Islam: A Basic Comparison

http://futureislam.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/scriptures-of-christianity-and-islam-a-basic-comparison.jpg?w=450&h=395

Dr. Gary Miller
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 20 | Size: 1 MB

Christians and Muslims who learn something of one another’s religion find that a crucial issue is the nature of Jesus. The majority of Christians deify Jesus while Muslims say that he was no more than a prophet of God, a faultless human being. The doctrine of the Trinity avows that three distinct co-equals are God. In particular, Jesus is said to be God the Son or the Son of God. As the Muslim questions details of this theology the Christian characteristically forms a common explanation for our differences: He complains that Muslims do not understand the Trinity: that we are actually accusing Christians of Tritheism and other heresies.

So the Muslim seeks clarification of the teaching and asks at every step: “How could that be so?” For example, we insist that the term “Son of God” cannot have a literal interpretation. Sonship and divine nature would be necessary attributes of such an actuality, but these are incompatible. The first describes a recipient of life while the second describes One who received life from no one. These are mutually exclusive requirements then. To be a son is to be less than divine, and to be divine is to be no one’s son.

As a discussion proceeds, it is the Christian who will eventually take refuge in the response: “These are things that we cannot understand.” His assessment of the Muslim’s problem becomes his own confession. The Christian explanation becomes self-defeating so there is a change of tactic.

He complains that the Muslim refuses to accept what cannot be understood. But the modified approach is a diversion. Now the concepts of verification and understanding are confused. To illustrate: Chemical reactions may be verified but the atom is not thereby understood. Facts are catalogued but not always explained. This distinction is the key to our concise reply. It is the Muslim who must redirect the discussion. Our primary issue is more basic than resolving the incongruities of Trinitarian doctrine. Rather than ask how the Trinity can be so, we should ask why it must be so. “We ask, “Why must Jesus be divine? Can we verify the necessity of this belief?”

The Muslim Position

A few centuries ago, European philosophers commonly felt that a conjecture was proven if it could be shown to be equivalent to an assertion made by Aristotle. Unfortunately, such an approach stopped short of challenging Aristotle and discovering truth. Similarly, resting the Trinitarian case on what people have said about Jesus stops short of establishing the integrity of the authorities and the truth of the matter.

Our purpose here is no more than the illustration that belief in the Trinity can only be based on Church authority. Many Christians admit that this is the case while others insist that the teaching was elaborated by Jesus himself. “Let them produce their proof,” is the repeated admonition of the Qur’an, that is, ‘provide the documentation that Jesus himself claimed unqualified deity,’ (Qur’an 21:24). Unless this evidence can be produced, authorities are subject to challenge. Then the Christian may not evade the Muslim’s questions concerning understanding. The Christian will have no justification for maintaining an illogical position, unless he is content to rely on the opinions of men. If he will probe no deeper than this, the Christian-Muslim dialogue is finished.

For Christians, the only documents accepted as reporting the words of Jesus are the accounts given in the Bible. We leave the Muslim attitude toward the Bible for part II of this essay and find our motivation now in the Qur’anic verse, “Say: ’0 People of the Book! You have no ground to stand upon unless you stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord.’” (Qur’an 5:71). Christians are advised to support their claims by citing their books. Thus Muslims believe that no saying of Jesus can be produced which shows him grasping at equality with God. The primary issue is not whether Jesus is God. The first question is whether he said that he was equal to God.

Methodology

The Bible record of sayings credited to Jesus is quite meager. After allowance for duplication in the four gospel accounts, these sayings could be printed in two columns of a newspaper. None of this handful of texts is an explicit claim of deity. All quotations are implicit, that is, they require interpretation. We are told what Jesus said and then told what he meant. So our methodology takes an obvious form.

It is not our intention or obligation to reinterpret the Bible. We are satisfied to merely verify that Christian interpretations are insufficient, ambiguous, or impossible. We mean to argue: 1) that where the meaning of a quotation is clear, it is still insufficient to prove that Jesus claimed equality with God; 2) that other quotations cited are open to various interpretation, ambiguous; 3) and that still other quotations have been given interpretations that are impossible. This means the evidence is either inadequate, inconclusive, or unacceptable, respectively.

Insufficient Evidence

The virgin birth of Jesus and the miracles he demonstrated are cited by some as proof of his divinity. The insufficiency of the premise is obvious. We need only read the Biblical account of Adam’s creation, without father or mother, and the accounts of miracles associated with the prophet Elisha (Genesis and 2 Kings chapters 4, 5, 6). In the case of these two men, no Christian asserts their divinity, yet each has a qualification in common with Jesus.

Some maintain that Jesus was God because the Hebrew Scriptures predicted his coming. The inadequacy here is only slightly less apparent. The ancient Hebrew Scriptures are also cited as predicting the role of John the Baptist (Malachi chapter 4). These three arguments are mentioned to show that the ready claims of Christians betray a selective or forgetful recall of scripture. They know the fact of virgin birth as well as they know the account of Adam’s origins, yet they interpret the first and overlook the second.

Now to pursue our case indirectly. Does the Bible quote Jesus as claiming equality with God? Bible texts are produced to show that Jesus used the terms “son of man”, “son of God”, “Messiah”, and “saviour”. But each of these terms is applied to other individuals in the Bible. Ezekiel was addressed as “son of man” (Ezekiel chapter 3). Jesus himself speaks of the peacemakers as “sons of God” (Matthew 5:9). Cyrus the Persian is called “Messiah” at Isaiah 45: 1. The duplicity of translators is manifested here, for they inevitably render only the meaning of the word “Messiah” which is “annointed”. Where other Bible verses seem to refer to Jesus, they prefer to transliterate “Messiah” or the Greek equivalent “Christ”. In this way they hope to give the impression that there is only one Messiah. As for “saviour”, the word is applied to other than Jesus (2 Kings 13:5). Christians choose to cite the forty-third chapter of Isaiah as proof that there is only one saviour. Again, translators have tried to obscure the fact that God is the only saviour in the same ultimate sense that He is our only nourisher and protector, though men also have these assigned tasks. By over specifying this pronouncement in Isaiah they hope to have us believe that God equals saviour and Jesus equals saviour therefore Jesus equals God. The conspiracy of modern translation is easily demonstrated. The King James Bible of 1611 is everywhere available. Compare it to a more recent translation, say the New American Bible of this century. In the earlier version we find 2 Kings 13:5 contains the word “saviour”, but in the newer version the synonomous word “deliverer” has been substituted. In fact,”saviours”, the plural, will be found at Obadiah 21 and Nehemiah 9:27. Here again, by substituting a different word, the connotation of divinity tied to the word “saviour” has been guarded in modern versions by less than honest translation.

Once more we have exhibited the insufficient warrant of arguments offered: Those terms said to connote divinity are used of individuals other than Jesus.

There is a quotation that should be mentioned here also. At John 8:58 it is reported that Jesus said, ‘Before Abraham was, I am.’ Even if Jesus meant to claim by these words that he was alive before Abraham was, is this sufficient ground to say that he was divine? If Jesus lived in heaven then came to earth it might mean something remarkable, but it would not be enough to establish him as God incarnate.

Additionally, it should be noted that these words are open to other interpretation. Christians do not imagine that the prophet Jeremiah had a pre-human existence and so they find a suitable way of interpreting the words of Jeremiah 1:5 which portray such a situation, if taken literally. Why not apply a similar understanding in the case of John 8:58? Continue reading

The Prophet As A Husband

All of us wonder about the way the Messenger (PBUH) was with his wives. How he dealt with them? How he treated them equally?

The Prophet accomplished the happiness to every one of them; that is because he knew how to deal with women. He penetrated deeply into her sensitive soul and he went on apostrophizing her with the warmth of passion and assisted her to work for her religion and life.

How was the Prophet treating his wives?

What was the Prophet’s way in treating his wives? How could he treat them equally?

The Prophet (PBUH) accomplished the happiness to every one of them; that is because he knew how to deal with women and he penetrated deeply into her sensitive soul and went on apostrophizing her with the warmth of passion and assisted her to work for her religion and her life.

And what about his wives-the Mothers of all believers -? If we searched to know about their lives, we will find that most of the books describe the Prophet’s wives with a common quality; fasting a lot and spending their nights praying. So they were privileged with their nearness from Allah and in apostrophizing him all night , that’s why they deserved this great honor ,they deserved to be the Mothers of all believers, wives of the beloved Prophet(PBUH) in this life and in the hereafter.

But what about us? I know that a lot of the readers are married, and if not, they can see what is going on in most of the marriages these days, noticing their parents, relatives, and friends. Why marital happiness is rare in our days? Is it our time’s fault? No, it is our fault, both men and women.

The fact is that we ruined our lives by materialism, by forgetting our religion, our Islamic civilization, and the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH). We forgot our love to Allah and committed sins publicly; our eyes and hearts do not blink for a moment that Allah is watching us.

Then ,What can we do now to let happiness come back to our marital lives?

How was the Prophet Treating his Wives?

There is only one way; the way of Allah and his Prophet (PBUH). This will make everyone happy with his partner in their marital life, and feel the meaning of the marital happiness that Almighty Allah created.

From here, dear brothers and sisters, I thought of this series “The Prophet as a husband,” to let every husband and wife who became far from each other restore love again. I hope you will follow up this series. All prayers, blessings, and peace of Allah upon Muhammad, his family, and companions. Continue reading

A Calm Dialogue Between Sunnah And Shia

http://futureislam.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/a-calm-dialogue-between-sunnah-and-shia.jpg?w=450&h=395

Abdur-Rahman Demashqeyyah
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 132 | Size: 1 MB

In this book, Dr. Abdur-Rahman Dimashqeyyah shows and discusses the wrong believes in Shii doctrine. He said in his introduction, “… My intention is simply to make clear to every Shia what the books of their religious leaders contain. These are things that many people still do not realize. My intention is to maintain an objective position, far from bigotry and blind allegiance to traditions. My only reason for writing it is to earn the pleasure of Allah and to clarify the truth to all who are interested to hear it. We should all free ourselves from prejudice and wild ideas, and avoid making inflammatory and insulting charges that fuel the emotions, block the path to truth, and widen the chasm between us. These things do nothing but dissipate the spirit of peace and harmony.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the most noble of the Messengers, Muhammad,1 and upon his family and Companions.

I dedicate this paper to every Shia who is willing to listen to constructive criticism with an open heart and an enlightened mind. This research is, in fact, a survey of the literature about the rise and spread of Shiism and its fundamental principles. Much of what follows is taken directly from Shia sources. Details of all the sources I have used are recorded in footnotes where interested readers will find page and volume numbers of the works cited. Anyone who wishes may then refer to the original Shia works and check what I have said.

I would like to stress that I do not intend to imply that every Shia must necessarily believe everything that I have reported about their beliefs and doctrines. My intention is simply to make clear to every Shia what the books of their religious leaders contain.

I am firmly convinced that we must begin with a sincere commitment to truth and believe that the struggle between truth and falsehood will continue until the Day of Resurrection. I am also convinced that truth must be presented without recourse to insults, curses or profanity. Allah has commanded us to observe the highest standards of dignity and self-respect when we argue with the “People of the Book.”2 Therefore, it is fitting for us to show even more respect to the people of our Book when we come to disagree with them and discuss these disagreements.

I look forward to the day when Allah joins our two communities with His Book and the Sunnah of His Messenger. May Allah hasten the day when He binds our hearts together again, after this long and bitter separation that has only benefited the enemies of the Muslims, and given them an ugly advantage from the beginning of our estrangement right up to today. Towards A Happy Marriage

http://futureislam.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/towards-a-happy-marriage.jpg?w=500&h=395

Salim al-Amry

“Glorified is He Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not.” {Yaa Seen: 36}

Through the institution of marriage, Allah has favoured us with ennumerable blessings: completing half of one’s deen, a means to increase in our Rizq, a means to having children and following the Sunnah of the Messenger himself. But many of the less obvious blessings can go unrealised because we do not have the correct understanding of marriage, what it entails and how to reolve issues that will inevitably arise within married life.

This course is designed for both believing men and women, married and single, in order for them to appreciate the great blessing of marriage and sustain a happy one. Taught by two scholars, it covers both the fiqh of marriage and advice for attaining a blissful marriage. Continue reading

The Call For The Unity Of Religions: A False And Dangerous Call

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/the-call-for-the-unity-of-religions-a-false-and-dangerous-call.jpg?w=450&h=395

Dr. Saleh As-Saleh
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 31 | Size: 1 MB

We hear nowadays a strange call by organized groups involving some Christians, Jews, and “Muslim” intellectuals calling for “wihdatul adyaan”. They claim that these three religions stand for the same belief that there is One God and should unite in their call for the implementation of great moral values. Some of those involved call for the establishment of centers containing churches, synagogues, and massaajid side by side, and printing the Qur’an, the Bible, and the Torah in one binding, etc.

In the name of defending Islam against political and media distortions in the West, some organizations are compromising the basics of the Islamic creed through what is called “Bridging the Faiths.” [1] This is a very dangerous call because it mixes the truth with falsehood and thus practically implies the elimination of the truth perfected in the deen of Islam. The Christians and Jews want the Muslims to be like them. That is why they support this deceptive call for “unity”. Allah spoke of their attempts and called the Muslims to be aware of them:

They wish that you reject Faith, as they have rejected (Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another). So take not Auliyâ’ (protectors or friends) from them, till they emigrate in the Way of Allâh (to Muhammad SAW). But if they turn back (from Islâm), take (hold of) them and kill them wherever you find them, and take neither Auliyâ’ (protectors or friends) nor helpers from them. [Qur’an, Surat an-Nisaa’ 4:89]

One of the fundamental beliefs in Islam is the kufr (unbelief) of the Christians and Jews because they reject the Qur’an and the Message of Muhammad (PBUH) to them. They have also altered their books in such a way that it permits or even enjoins worship of other than Allah and (or) the association of partners with Him in worship. Any Muslim who doubts their kufr is a kaafir himself.

Some Muslims who do not understand certain texts from the Qur’an and (or) authentic Sunnah and may be easily deceived by the call for “unity of religions”. It is important to know that if certain texts are not clear to some, they are clear to others from those who are firm in the knowledge of the deen. [2] Consequently, nothing stays unclear for those who are seeking the truth and not just following vain desires.

For example, some may understand that the following text is evidence that the Jews and Christians are not kuffaar:

Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allâh and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. [Qur'an, Soorat Al-Baqarah (2:62)].

Ibn Taymeeyah said: “The aayah (above) tells about the followers of these four unaltered milal (Paths) before abrogation [by the advent of Prophet Muhammad’(PBUH) complete message].” [4] It, therefore, addresses those who believed in tawheed and followed the Path of Allah as was known to them. Those who continued on this belief and did not alter the Scriptures must follow the Qur’an and the Message of Islam as explained by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Furthermore, the order of the above ayah, as Ibn ‘Abbaas explained, was canceled by ayah 3:85, which states:

وَمَن يَبۡتَغِ غَيۡرَ ٱلۡإِسۡلَـٰمِ دِينً۬ا فَلَن يُقۡبَلَ مِنۡهُ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرِينَ

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. [Qur'an, Surat Aal-’Imraan 3: 85]

Following the alterations in their religion, most of the People of the Book turned kuffaar and few remained on the original teachings of the Torah and the Gospel. This is clear in the Qur’anic texts where Allah, the Most High, says:

You [true believers in Islâmic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma’rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden), and you believe in Allâh. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fâsiqûn (disobedient to Allâh – and rebellious against Allâh’s Command). [Qur’aan, Soorat Aal-’Imraan 3:110]

Following the above description, Allah (SWT) said:

Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of Allâh during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer. (113) They believe in Allâh and the Last Day; they enjoin Al-Ma’rûf (Islâmic Monotheism, and following Prophet Muhammad SAW) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and opposing Prophet Muhammad SAW); and they hasten in (all) good works; and they are among the righteous. (114) [Qur’an, Surat Aal-’Imraan 3:113-114]

This party includes those who held to the original Scriptures before they were abrogated by Qur’an and Sunnah. They were on the right religion enjoining tawheed and forbidding shirk, just as Allah described the believing followers of Musa:

وَمِن قَوۡمِ مُوسَىٰٓ أُمَّةٌ۬ يَہۡدُونَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَبِهِۦ يَعۡدِلُونَ

And of the people of Mûsa (Moses) there is a community who lead (the men) with truth and establish justice therewith (i.e. judge among men with truth and justice). [Qur’an, Surat Al-A’raaf 7:159].

Whoever held to these qualities amongst them (i.e. to the true revelations), prior to the advent of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a believer. The believers from the People of the Book who accepted the Prophet’s (PBUH) Message of Islam will receive a double reward:

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبۡلِكَ وَبِٱلۡأَخِرَةِ هُمۡ يُوقِنُونَ

And who believe in (the Qurân and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him ) and in that which we sent down before [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell,) [Qur’an, Soorat Al-Baqarah 2:4]

And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allâh and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allâh. They do not sell the Verses of Allâh for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, Allâh is Swift in account. [Qur’an, Soorat Aal-’Imraan 3:199] Continue reading

A Critique Of The Statements Of Dr. A’id al-Qarni

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/a-critique-of-the-statements-of-dr-a-id-al-qarni.jpg?w=450&h=395

Shaykh ’Abdul’Azeez bin Rayyis ar-Rayyis
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 38 | Size: 1 MB

Indeed, all praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, we seek His aid, and we ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our actions and from the evil consequences of our actions. Whoever Allah guides, there is none to misguide, and whoever Allah misguides there is none to guide. I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the servant and messenger of Allah. To proceed:

Today, the 20 Jumada al-Ula 1430 AH, I present a lesson to you entitled ‘The Statements of A’id al-Qarni: A Presentation and Critique’. Dr A’id al-Qarni, may Allah guide me and him to what pleases Allah, is of the most prominent preachers and activists and many common people, as opposed to students of knowledge, are influenced by his statements. So in order to initially free from responsibility, secondly to advise him and thirdly to advise the generality of Muslims- I wish to produce this critique of him insha’Allah. What is firmly acknowledged by Ahl us-Sunnah is that everyone can have his statement accepted or rejected as Ibn ’AbdulBarr reported in his book Jami’ Bayan al-’Ilm wa Fadlihi from Imam Malik (rahimahullah) who stated “everyone can have his statement accepted or rejected except the companion of this grave (i.e. the Prophet, sallallahu ’alayhi wassallam)”. Ibn ’AbdulHadi (rahimahullah) authenticated this from Imam Malik. Ibn Hazm also mentions this in his book al-Ihkam fi Usul il-Ahkam from al-Hakam bin ’Utaybah and Mujahid (rahimahumullah). Then know my brothers that a critique or refutation is sought-after in the Sharee’ah and also shows mercy to the one that is being refuted. Adh-Dhahabi mentioned in his book SiyarA’lam un-Nubala’ that Imam Yusuf ibn Asbat spoke about a man and Abu Salih al- Fara’ said “is this not backbiting?” Imam Yusuf ibn Asbat said: “You foolish man! I am better to them than their own fathers and mothers! We clarify their errors to them so that people will not follow them and thereby increase  their sins.” So we ask Allah to make us of those who explain the errors of those who fall into error so that their sins do not increase from one angle and so  that the Sharee’ah of Muhammad ibn ’Abdillah (sallallahu ’alayhi wassallam) is protected from another angle. Before we start with this critique I wish to firstly begin with nine introductions:

FIRST INTRODUCTION

From the greatest features of those who preach for Allah is that, by being themselves du’at untoAllah, they call to tawheed in the way traversed by the Prophet (sallallahu ’alayhi wassallam), rather in the way traversed by all of the Prophets, as Allah said:

وَلَقَدۡ بَعَثۡنَا فِى ڪُلِّ أُمَّةٍ۬ رَّسُولاً أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ ٱلطَّـٰغُوتَ‌ۖ

“And We certainly sent to every nation a messenger, [saying], ‘Worship Allah and avoid Taghut.’” {an-Nahl (16): 36}

Allah said to His Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu ’alayhi wassallam):

“Say, ‘This is my way; I invite to Allah…’ {Yusuf (12): 108}

Meaning “to tawheed” to singling out Allah in worship,

“Say, ‘This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him.’” {Yusuf (12): 108}

Thus, if you want to know a true caller from others, then look at his condition, and if he is concerned with tawheed, calls to tawheed and strives hard in that, then you’ll know that he is a true caller. Continue reading

Saudi Women Towards A New Era

I write this book as a Saudi woman with a Muslim identity and a citizen of the world. I represent women with a mission to promote the empowerment of the Saudi female and advocate the global Muslim woman in tune with the world. Our aspirations are many, and the challenges that we face are more.

We have achieved a lot despite the frustrations over the reluctance to change and modernize by a large portion of our society. Consequently, the obstacles that stand in our way are detrimental to the progress of our country. However, there are enough educated and professional women who continue to fight against discrimination and welcome international initiatives available to help women develop their potentials and prosper within the global village.

There are many educated women of this country who are determined to promote and project a progressive image to the world rather than the oppressed or repressed one that has dominated the international media for sometime.

This book outlines Government efforts and the rise of civil society to change negative attitudes towards women. It is a reflection of the emerging role of Saudi women who have been marginalized by rigid traditions and restricted by misinterpretations of Islamic laws. Continue reading

Tuhfat Al-Mujahidin: A Historical Epic Of The Sixteenth Century

Tuhfat Al Muahidin Fi Ba’d akhbar al Burtughaliyyin – Tribute to the Holy Worriors in respect of a brief account of the Portuguese.

First written in Arabic in the late sixteenth century, Tuhfat al-Mujahidin is a pioneering historical work dealing with the struggles of the Malabar Muslims in southern India against the Portuguese colonisers’ encroachment in India, and the rise of Malabar as a medieval naval force under the Zamorin of Calicut. Based on the author’s own first hand information of events and what he could gather from reliable sources, it was written to motivate Muslims for the struggle against the invading Portuguese. Thus the republication of this anti-colonial manifesto could not have been more timely at a time when Muslims continue to be the only obstacle to the Western imperialistic ambitions. This translation of the Tuhfat is extensively annotated with more than 200 notes explaining local backgrounds and clearly identifying the names mentioned in the original Arabic work. The Tuhfat is compulsory reading for anybody trying to learn about post-Cordova episodes of Muslim history.

Its author, the sixteenth century’s Shaikh Zainuddin Makhdum was from the renowned Makhdum family from the town of Ponnani in Malabar, northern Kerala. He  rose to become a leading Islamic scholar, spending ten years studying in Mecca, where he also joined the Qadri order of Sufism. On his return to his native Malabar, he spent almost four decades teaching at the central mosque in Ponnani, then a major centre for Islamic studies in southern India. He also served as the envoy of the Zamorins, the Hindu rulers of Calicut, to Egypt and Turkey. Continue reading

Like A Garment

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/like-a-garment.jpg?w=450&h=395

Abu Ammaar Yaasir al-Qaadi
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 25 | Size: 1 MB

As- Salaam Alaikum! I welcome you to our ‘Like A Garment’ e-book, an initiative that seeks to educate Muslims to find conjugal bliss in their marriages.

The name of this project came from one of the most beautiful, poetic and profound metaphors of the Qur’aan. Allah states, “Permitted for you, during the night of the fast, that you approach your wives. They are your garments, and you are their garments” [al-Baqarah; 187].

In this verse, each spouse is described as a ‘garment’ to the other. The famous exegete Ibn Jarir al-Tabari (d. 311) stated that this description most aptly described the act of intimacy between the spouses, for during that act, each spouse sheds his or her other garments and then wraps around the other, takingthe place of clothes. Al-Qurtubi (d. 671) also comments on this metaphor, and adds that just as clothes protect their wearer from the external elements, similarly each spouse protects the other from external passions that would harm a marriage.

Combining between the various explanations of this beautiful metaphor found in the books of tafseer, we can derive many meanings from it:

- The act of procreation is so intimate that it is literally as if one of the spouses covers up the other, just as clothing covers up one’s body. Another euphemism that the Qur’aan uses for the sexual act is the verb ghashsha, which means ‘to cover up, to envelop’.

- One primary purpose of clothing is to conceal one’s nakedness, since this nakedness (or `awrah) is embarrassing to display, and should be hidden from the eyes of others. Similarly, each spouse conceals the other spouse’s faults, and does not reveal them to others.

- Clothing protects one from the external elements, such as heat and cold. Similarly, spouses protect one another from external desires that originate from many different sources. By satisfying these desires within the confines of marriage, external passions are removed.

- Clothing is the primary method through which humans beautify themselves. Without clothing, one is incomplete and naked. Similarly, spouses beautify and complete one another; when a person is not married, he or she is not yet complete and has not reached his or her full potential. Marriage is an essential part of being fully human, just like clothes are an essential part of being fully civilized.

- Clothes are only worn in front of others, and are not necessary in front of spouses. It is only in front of one’s spouse that the other spouse can discard his or her garments.

- Clothes are the closest thing to one’s body. Nothing comes between a person and his or her clothes. So the analogy of spouses being ‘like clothes to one another’ implies such a closeness – there is nothing, literally and metaphorically, that should come between spouses. Continue reading

All Thanks, All Praise to Allah: The One, The First, and The Final.

Many people have assisted me in completing this work. First and foremost were my beloved parents who raised me to write the present book. I love you dad, I love you mom! My wife’s assistance was more than generous. She gave me all the time, support, and patience I needed. I do not know how to reward her magnanimous heart. My dear friend, Abdulkareem Ibn Adam, read the text with extraordinary attentiveness. His remarks were very precious; many thanks brother Abdulkareem. I also thank Anton Schulz whose suggestions and choice of words were extremely helpful. Abdulaziz Al Ma’taani! The book cover speaks for itself, a witty choice. I will not forget my brothers at The Cooperative Office in Jubail. Without their support, many obstacles would have prevented this work from coming out. If any one of favor has been left out, I’m confident that there reward will be with Allah, The Most Munificent.

Letter To The West – A Saudi View

This book was prepared by a group of Saudi scholars and intellectuals. They address Western mind which looks at fair truth and objective and convincing dialogue. The book, in general, discusses the most important issues and suspicions raised by Western political and media organizations in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 events. These events have placed Islam, the Kingdom, its people, and its religious, educational and social institutions in a position that requires correction and review. The book is a moderate vision in responding to the issues and suspicions. A biased reader would notice the major difference between the reality and the raised concepts and images which were far from the reality.

The terrorist events of September 11 have marked a new turning point in international and human relations, particularly between the United States and the Islamic World. Political, cultural and religious institutions in the West have contributed to the delineation of the main features of such relations. The American media in particular has established and played a major role in promoting a great many negative notions, spreading incorrect and disingenuous terminology, and creating recurrent suspicion towards Islamic culture, which is adhered to by many Muslim peoples, governments, leaders and legal systems. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was particularly targeted in this respect for well-known reasons. Thus, these institutions have put Islam in general and the kingdom, its people, its leaders and its legal system in particular, within the framework of the relations that need to be scrutinized, reviewed and amended.

We strongly and unreservedly condemn the attacks on New York and Washington, just as we do those that targeted facilities in Riyadh, Nairobi, Dar es Salam and Bali. While we consider such deeds among those prohibited by Islam and appreciate that they constitute a threat to the security and peace of humanity, we are nevertheless firmly convinced, and such conviction is shared by all rational people in the United States and elsewhere, that such events need to be addressed objectively and impartially.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been in the forefront of states that have suffered as a result of what happened in New York and Washington. Its afflictions extended so far as to involve attacks on the religion of the state and its political, social and educational institutions, this being the result of an erroneous and unfair interpretation of the events. It is this that has prompted us to compile this book in order to address the open Western mind, which bases its views, ideas and attitudes on objective dialogue and persuasion. We are well aware in this address to Western peoples in general, and to the American people in particular, that they are eager to discover the truth. This is because their lives are based on true knowledge and dialogue that aims at reaching the truth, which is what all rational and fair people aspire to. In this book, we address the most important issues raised by the political, intellectual and media institutions in the United States with respect to way of life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the immutable principles on which it is based. This is exemplified by its moderate and judicious way of life, which the just reader will find a great disparity between and the allegations attributed to it, which are quite remote from reality. The Islamic Conquest of Syria – A Translation of Futuhusham: The inspiring history of the Sahabah’s conquest of Syria

“Glory be to Allah, the keys of Syria have been given to me,” proclaimed Rasulullah (PBUH) at a time when Muslims were facing complete destruction. Yet fourteen years later, Yazid bin Abi Sufyan marched into Caesarea, the last Roman stronghold of resistance in Syria.

The Islamic Conquest Of Syria, is the first complete English translation of Futuhusham, the ninth century Arabic classic detailing the Muslim advance into Syria. The English reader has, for the first time, the opportunity to read about the great epic struggle of a small ill-equipped band of Muslims that overthrew the superpower of their day. Events only briefly mentioned in other books are graphically described here, such as the Battle of Al Yarmuk, which changed the course of world history. The great personalities of early Islam are brought to life in a unique way. The strategies of Khalid bin al Walid, the piety of Abu Ubaydah al Jarrah, the bravery of Dirar al Kindi and many more are vividly described. The text also sheds light on some lesser-known aspects of Islamic history such as the significant role of women and Roman princes who had embraced Islam

Al Imam Al Waqidi, the great historian, was born at the beginning of 130 AH in Al Madinah, where he began his studies. He migrated to Iraq in 180 AH during the reign of Mamun ar Rashid. There Yahya al Barmaki welcomed him due to his great learning and he was included as one of Mamun’s elite. He was soon appointed as judge and held this post until his death in 207 AH. Modesty & A Sound Heart In The Last Days

Abdullah Hakim Quick

IISNA 2010 Islamic Revival Tour, Melbourne, Australia. Modesty in Islam is known as haya, a word which describes both shyness and a deeper modesty that is based on faith. A sense of haya should affect a Muslim’s conduct before God, before others and even when one is alone. In the Holy Qur’an, God says: “O children of Adam, We have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as for luxury. But the best garment is the garment of righteousness. These are some of God’s signs, that they may take heed.” (Al-A`raf 7:26) Continue reading

The Man: A Strange Creature With Diverse Qualities

Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Mo’taz

In this era, many people are trying to learn everything concerning the material life aiming at making their living conditions better. In this digest, the author has tried to write about the spiritual aspect of life which is, as a matter of fact, more important than any other aspects. Discussion of many topics associated with this, including weakness, disbelief, oppression, being quarrelsome, impatience, ignorance, forgetfulness, irritability, discontent, striving and working hard for worldly desire, transgression and ingratitude, turning away, and more.

“And recite to them the story of him whom We gave Our Ayat, but he threw them away; so Satan followed him up, and he became of those who went astray. And had We willed, We would surely, have elevated him there with, but he clung to the earth and followed his own vain desire. So his parable is the parable of a dog: if you drive him away, he lolls his tongue out, or if you leave him alone, he (still) lolls his tongue out. Such is the parable of the people who reject Our Ayat. So relate the stories, perhaps they may reflect. Evil is the parable of the people who rejected Our Ayat. and used to wrong their own selves.” Continue reading

Fiqh Az-Zakat A Comparative Study (Volume II) By Yusuf Al-Qaradawi

Dr. Yusuf al-Qardawi
Language: English | Format: PDF | Volume: II | Pages: 347 | Size: 2 MB

Among the most important books Dr. Yusuf al-Qardawi has written is the present volume on fiqh az-Zakat. It is a study which deals in depth with legal rulings and philosophy of zakat in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Among the five pillars of Islam, Zakat is the third after Tawhid and prayer. It is crucial to the financial and political structure of every Muslim community. Yet, despite its pivotal significance, it is the least understood of the basic practices of Islam and indeed now plays little or no part in the lives of the vast majority of Muslims. That fact makes this book a very important addition to the literature available to English-speaking Muslims.

It covers every aspect of zakat in great detail, studying those who are obliged to pay zakat, the amounts they have to pay, as well as the types of wealth on which zakat must be paid. It also deals with how zakat is collected, its connection to Muslim governance and its relation to society as a whole. Fiqh az-Zakat is a seminal work for all Muslims and an important reference book for everyone interested in Islam. Continue reading

A Tribute To Andalus

Lyrics:

Allah, The Most Kind and Gentle

Although I vanish, the Most Gentle and Kind vanishes not. Thus, I have hope in Him – hope that fails not.

I seek safety with Him from a time where trials would age this body of mine

So, I bring my needs, and I’m ever in poverty To the One with whom hearts find tranquility

Numerous are the matters that Allah decrees! Yet, the unseen realm, is that which none sees

His decree eases secretly our difficulties And by decree does He alleviate our calamities

and by His discreet kindness and generosity, there’s relief – replacing all adversity.

Whose door do I have, besides Allah’s door? I have no other Master nor another whom I so adore!

He is generous, kind and gentle, blessing us ceaselessly, He answers our prayers and conceals our faults so beautifully,

Enduring is He, never hastening to recompense our delinquency He bestows his mercy like pure rain, gracefully

Therefore, King of kings, please pardon me; My sins have cast me so far away from thee

My lusts have caused my malady Yet there’s none but thee to heal me

So my Lord, comfort and shield me from eyes burning green. for when calamities strike they do so with fangs sharp keen.

My Lord, fasten me with the joys of children and family Without them a man is certainly a stranger, poor and lonely

Ah, my young children, on their fate I do fret Worn from worry and grief I am ever upset

But to thee the reigns of my life I do surrender To the One who handles affairs with majestic splendor

The Most Merciful, my refuge and the pillar on which I lean In repentance, I call Him with none in between.

Allah, Of my condition thee did hear so my Master, I ask, is relief near?

O Lord of Judgment Day, relieve this anxiety of stubborn worries that in my heart sink deeply

And bind me to the rope of thy content, and turn thy Face to me And accept me so that I may repent and return wholly to thee.

My safety and success are in thy Hands So support my will against life’s difficult demands

And with Thy remembrance illuminate my life. Indeed when recalling thy name sweetness becomes rife

And say of me that I am still thy servant sharing in thy Kindness, drawing near to thee, no longer distant

My thoughts of thee, my Sustainer, are pleasant And my hopes in thee, lie in meadows, fertile and fragrant

And send prayers and praises upon the Prophet and his family For whom the nightingales from their branches sing their sweet melody Continue reading
