Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Truly Is The Prophet Of Allah

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the Originator of the darkness and the light. I bear witness that nothing is worthy of worship but Allah, Who is Alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad (sws, salla Allahu `alaihi wa sallam: may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) is His slave and prophet. Oh Allah, let your peace be upon Muhammad (sws), the final prophet and messenger, his family, his companions and all those who followed him and upheld his traditions until the Day of Judgment.

Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, defends his prophets and preserves their position amongst all creation, whether in the present life or after their death. Allah Almighty singled out His prophet, Muhammad (sws), with special protection, due to the severe oppression he suffered during his call to Islam and also due to the slander and accusations which continue to proceed from every misleading and misled group as it aims to defame Islam, the religion which Allah has elected to be the correct belief for the whole of mankind.

Allah honored His prophet, Muhammad (sws), and raised him above all mankind by distinguishing him with outstanding moral features which could not have been found in any other human being. This research has compiled evidence, proofs, verses, signs and miracles (including the miraculous nature of the Quran) which combine to prove the prophecy of Muhammad (sws). Many brilliant scholars have studied this evidence (some of which is scientific), and become convinced of the Message of Muhammad (sws) and the trustworthiness of the Quran and Hadith (the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad, sws).

And the search is not over. With the progress of science, we may continue to discover more and more undeniable truths which have already been referenced in the Quran and Hadith. Yet, the fact that the Quran offered such detailed and accurate descriptions over 1400 years ago, when no one could possibly have had such precise knowledge, has made many knowledgeable people certain that the Quran is indeed a book from God (Allah), and that Muhammad (sws), who delivered these amazingly accurate statements, is a prophet sent by God (Allah).

This research presents testimony, in the form of statements, admissions and declarations, offered by prominent scholars and scientists, all of whom witnessed that Muhammad (sws) is the prophet of Allah. It also examines quotations from the previous Divine scriptures, the Torah and the Gospels, which prove the prophecy of Muhammad (sws).

This research provides a description of the morality of the Prophet Muhammad (sws): his character, behavior and way of thinking. This research has been composed and collected from many Islamic sources, and it ends with a brief exhortation. I ask Allah Almighty to accept this effort and all our good deeds. Allah says in the Quran:

بَلۡ نَقۡذِفُ بِٱلۡحَقِّ عَلَى ٱلۡبَـٰطِلِ فَيَدۡمَغُهُ ۥ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ۬‌ۚ وَلَكُمُ ٱلۡوَيۡلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ

This means, {Nay, we fling (send down) the truth (this Koran) against falsehood (disbelief), so it destroys it, and then falsehood is vanquished.} [Al-Anbiya 21:18]

The Message of Muhammad (peace be upon him)

It has always been Allah’s Way to send His messengers when the world is in need of them, and when people have strayed from the correct path that will connect them to Allah. Allah sends messengers when people have become corrupt, when they differ in opinion and quarrel, and when they are in need of a law to reform their beliefs and connect people with one another in harmonic and intimate unity. Only at that point would people be properly able to thank their God for the blessings He granted them, for sending them a prophet with pure beliefs, noble morals and a straight-forward system of legislation, based on truth, virtue and justice. Allah says:

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ شَـٰهِدً۬ا وَمُبَشِّرً۬ا وَنَذِيرً۬ا – وَدَاعِيًا إِلَى ٱللَّهِ بِإِذۡنِهِۦ وَسِرَاجً۬ا مُّنِيرً۬ا

It means, {O Prophet! Lo! We have sent thee as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a Warner, and as one who invites to Allah (grace) by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light.} [Al-Ahzab 33: 45-46]

And He says:

يَأۡمُرُهُم بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَيَنۡہَٮٰهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنڪَرِ وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡخَبَـٰٓٮِٕثَ وَيَضَعُ عَنۡهُمۡ إِصۡرَهُمۡ وَٱلۡأَغۡلَـٰلَ ٱلَّتِى كَانَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ‌ۚ

It means, {He will enjoin on them that which is right and forbid them that which is wrong. He will make lawful for them all good things and prohibit for them only the foul; and he will relieve them of their burden and the fetters that they used to wear.} [Al-A`raf 7: 157] And He also says:

كَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا فِيڪُمۡ رَسُولاً۬ مِّنڪُمۡ يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَـٰتِنَا وَيُزَكِّيڪُمۡ وَيُعَلِّمُڪُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلۡحِڪۡمَةَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُم مَّا لَمۡ تَكُونُواْ تَعۡلَمُونَ

It means, {Even as We have sent unto you a messenger from among you, who recites unto you Our revelations and causes you to grow, and teaches you the Scripture and wisdom, and teaches you that which ye knew not.} [Al-Baqarah 2: 151]

What is invocation? What are the means of invoking Allah?

Allah has revealed the means of invoking Him in the Holy Qur’an: “O you who believe! Do your duty to Allah and fear Him. And seek the means of approach to Him, and strive hard in His Cause (as much as you can), so that you may be successful” [Al-Ma'idah 5:35]

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱبۡتَغُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡوَسِيلَةَ وَجَـٰهِدُواْ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّڪُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ

Transliteration: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ittaqoo Allaha waibtaghoo ilayhi alwaseelata wajahidoo fee sabeelihi laAAallakum tuflihoona

Al-Hafiz Ibn Katheer, may Allah bless his soul, in his book (Interpreting the Holy Qur’an), explained this verse saying: Allah commanded His faithful slaves to fear Him, which if connected to obedience, was intended to stop committing sins and abandon the forbidden.

Allah said afterwards “And seek the means of approach to Him” [Al-Ma'ida 5:35]

وَٱبۡتَغُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡوَسِيلَةَ

Transliteration: waibtaghoo ilayhi alwaseelata

Ibn Abbas said: this means draw near to Him by acts of worship” and so said Mujahid and Qatadah: “this means draw nearer to Him by obeying Him and by doing whatever leads to His satisfaction”. There is no dispute among the interpreters of Qur’an in interpreting this verse.

In interpreting His words: “Those whom they invoke seek means of access to their Lord, [striving as to] which of them would be nearest, and they hope for His mercy and fear His punishment. Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is ever feared.” [Al-Isra' 17:57]

أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ يَبۡتَغُونَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمُ ٱلۡوَسِيلَةَ أَيُّہُمۡ أَقۡرَبُ وَيَرۡجُونَ رَحۡمَتَهُ ۥ وَيَخَافُونَ عَذَابَهُ ۥۤ‌ۚ إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ كَانَ مَحۡذُورً۬ا

Transliteration: Olaika allatheena yadAAoona yabtaghoona ila rabbihimu alwaseelata ayyuhum aqrabu wayarjoona rahmatahu wayakhafoona AAathabahu inna AAathaba rabbika kana mahthooran

Imam Muslim narrated in his Sahih that Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said that this verse was revealed by Allah about a group of Arabs who were worshiping jinn, the jinn embraced Islam but the Arabs did not know that, so the verse      ” Those whom they invoke seek means of access to their Lord, “ [Al-'Isra' 17:57]

أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ يَبۡتَغُونَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمُ ٱلۡوَسِيلَةَ

Transliteration: Olaika allatheena yadAAoona yabtaghoona ila rabbihimu alwaseelata

was revealed” [Sharh Sahih Muslim, and Al-Nawawi].

Bukhari stated the same about the interpretation of this verse in his Sahih (see Fath al-Bari in Explaining Sahih Al-Bukhari). Al-Hafiz ibn Hajar Al-’Askalani elaborated that the jinn embraced Islam, but the people who were worshipping them continued to worship the jinn, however, the jinn did not accept that because they converted to Islam, and they (jinn) have become those who desire means of access to their Lord .. This is the adopted interpretation of this verse “.

From the previous it is clear that the means of invoking Allah is whatever that brings him nearer to Allah, and Allah says: {desire means} that is to say they seek His closeness by good deeds, as explained by Qatada in the interpretation of the first verse: “this means draw nearer to Him by obeying Him and by doing whatever leads to His satisfaction”.

“Is there evidence God exists?”

Answer:

Yes. Allah has sent down miracles, revelations and messengers to give clear proofs He exists and more important, what we should do once we come to this realization.

Allah has sent prophets and messengers with many proofs throughout the ages for people to be able to clearly see with their own eyes and to be able to use their own senses the miracles and proofs pointing to the fact, Allah does in fact, exist.

Miracles of prophets and messengers of Allah have come to people through the ages. Moses, peace be upon him, showed many miracles to pharoah and to the children of Israel. Plagues, locusts, water turning to blood, his stick becoming a snake, the voice in the burning bush and the parting of the Red Sea were are clear miracles for the people of Moses time.

Again, Allah sent Jesus, the son of Mary, peace be upon him, with clear miracles for the people of his time. Speaking from the cradle while still a new born infant, creating birds from clay, curing the sick, giving sight to the blind and even bringing a dead man back to life, were all clear signs to the people to know Jesus, peace be upon him, was a messenger of Allah as was Moses before him.

Muhammad, peace be upon him, was the last and final messenger of Allah, and he was sent to all of mankind. Allah sent him with a number of miracles, not the least of which was the Quran. The predictions and propheies of Muhammad, peace be upon him, have come true even in this century and the Quran has been used to convince even scientists of the existence of Allah. The Quran is the best of proofs for the existence of Allah and today over one and half billion people memorize and rectie from the exact text, in the exact same language it was revealed in; Arabic. More than 10 million Muslims have completely memorized the entire Quran from cover to cover, and can recite it from memory without looking at it.

No one sees or hears Allah, not even the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Nor are we able to use our senses to make some kind of contact with Him. However, we are encouraged in Islam to use our senses and our common sense to recognize all of this universe could not possibly come into existence on its own. Something had to design it all and then put it into motion. This is beyond our ability to do, yet it is something we can understand.

We know from the teachings of Muhammad, peace be upon him, the proofs for the existence of God (Allah) are most obvious to us in our everyday surroundings. Anyone with understanding would quickly acknowledge His existence provided they are not so stubborn as to ignore the obvious evidencers in front right in front of us.

We don’t have to see an artist to recognize a painting, correct? So, if we see paintings without seeing artists painting them, in the same way, we can believe Allah created everything without having to see Him (or touch, or hear, etc.).

“Why did God create everything?”

Answer:

Allah says in His Quran He did not create all of this for any foolish purpose. Allah Says:

51 – Az-Zariyat
And I did not Create the jinn and humans except they should worship Me. 51:56

He created us for the purpose of worshiping Him, Alone and without any partners.

11 – Hud
And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water, that He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds. But if you were to say to them: “You shall indeed be raised up after death,” those who disbelieve would be sure to say, “This is nothing but obvious magic.”

Allah has created all we call the universe as a test for us. This is not our final destination. What we might consider to be “bad” or “good” could actually be quite the opposite.

67 – Al-Mulk
Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He has the Ability to do all things. 67:1 (He’s the One) Who has created death and life, so He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving; 67:2

(Hes’ the One) Who has created the seven heavens one above another, you can see no fault in the creations of the Most Beneficent. Then look again: “Can you see any rifts?” 67:3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 67:4

The Quran tells us about the nature of mankind and how quickly we forget the many wonderful blessings provided to us daily. Allah describes our attitude clearly in His Quran:

39 – Az-Zumar
And when some hurt touches man, he cries to his Lord (Allah Alone), turning to Him in repentance, but when He bestows a favor upon him from Himself, he forgets that for which he cried for before, and he sets up rivals to Allah, in order to mislead others from His Path. Say: “Take pleasure in your disbelief for a while: surely, you are (one) of the dwellers of the Fire!” 39:8

We forget, as we were created to forget. And this is a part of our test. Will we only use a selective memory and overlook what we owe to our Creator and Sustainer? Or will we be appreciative even when we are suffering some hardship or setback in this life?

89 – Al-Fajr
As for mankind, whenever his Lord tests him giving him honor and gifts, he says (bragging): “My Lord honors me.” 89:15 But whenever He tests him by withholding his livelihood, he says: “My Lord has disgraced me!”89:16
Then Allah makes clear to us the real reasoning behind all that is taking place: Nay! But (it is because) you do not treat orphans with kindness and generosity. 89:17
And you do not encourage feeding of the poor! 89:18 And you devour inheritance with greed, 89:19 And you love wealth with abounding love! 89:20

Allah has created us and given us so much, yet we are so careless concerning His Right to be worshipped exclusively and deny the Day of Judgment wherein we will all be asked concerning His Generosity.

82 – Al-Infitar
O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 82:6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 82:7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 82:8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds).82:9

And how will we view our condition and surroundings? And how will we treat others around us? Are we considerate of others and are we quick to blame or quick to forgive? All of these things are a part of our test, the things we will be asked about on the DAy of Judgment.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful, I begin to write:

إن الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره، ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا، من يهده الله فلا مضل له، ومن يضلل فلا هادي له، وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمداً عبده ورسوله. صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم.

All Praise is due to Allaah, we praise Him, and seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allaah, Most High, from the evils of our own selves and from our wicked deeds. Whomever Allaah guides cannot be misguided, and whomever He leads astray cannot be guided. I testify that there is no true God worthy of being worshipped except Allaah, Alone, without partner or associate. I further testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger (PBUH). May Allaah’s salaah and salaam also be granted to the Prophet’s pure family and to all of his noble companions.

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِۦ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ

O you who believe! Fear Allaah [by doing all that He ordered and abstaining from all that He forbade] as He should be feared [obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always] and die not except in a state of Islaam. [TMQ1, aal-’Imraan (3:102)].

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٍ۬ وَٲحِدَةٍ۬ وَخَلَقَ مِنۡہَا زَوۡجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنۡہُمَا رِجَالاً۬ كَثِيرً۬ا وَنِسَآءً۬‌ۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى تَسَآءَلُونَ بِهِۦ وَٱلۡأَرۡحَامَ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ رَقِيبً۬ا

O mankind! Be dutiful to your Rabb [Allaah], Who created you from a single person [Adam] and from him [Adam] He created his wife [Eve], and from them both He created many men and women. And fear Allaah through Whom you demand your mutual [rights] and [do not cut the relations of] the wombs [kinship]. Surely, Allaah is ever an All-Watcher over you. [TMQ, an-Nisaa’ (4:1)].

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَقُولُواْ قَوۡلاً۬ سَدِيدً۬ا – يُصۡلِحۡ لَكُمۡ أَعۡمَـٰلَكُمۡ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ذُنُوبَكُمۡۗ وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۥ فَقَدۡ فَازَ فَوۡزًا عَظِيمًا

O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allaah and fear Him, and speak [always] the truth. He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allaah and His Messenger has indeed achieved a great success. [TMQ ,al-Ahzaab (33:70-71)].

أما بعد،،،
فإن أصدق الحديث كتاب الله، وأحسن الهدي هدي محمد – صلى الله عليه وسلم -، وشر الأمور محدثاتها، وكل محدثةٍ بدعةٍ، وكل بدعةٍ ضلالةٍ، وكل ضلالةٍ في النار، وبعد.

It proceeds that the most truthful speech is that of Allaah’s Book [the Qur’aan] and that the best of guidance is that of Muhammad (PBUH). The worst of evils are the muhdathaat (newly-invented matters [in the deen]), and every innovated matter (in the deen) is a bid’ah; every bid’ah is a dalaalah (misguidance), and every dalaalah is in the Fire of Hell.”

Know, may Allaah’s Mercy be upon me and you, that Knowing of Allaah by His Names and Attributes increases the faith in Him and the adherence to His commandments because, when established, this knowledge would enjoin the proper estimate of Allaah with the the believer. It is grave injustice on the part of some people who give high estimate to created beings while falling short in giving Allaah all the proper and most high estimate He deserves. Also when we know that creation will come to an end, then it is improper and wrong to offer worship to something that will cease to exist. The worship of creation in one form or another is due to ignorance about the Qualities of Allaah, the Ever-Existing:

مَّا لَكُمۡ لَا تَرۡجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارً۬ا

What is the matter with you, that you fear not Allaah (His punishment), and you hope not for reward from Allaah or you believe not in His Oneness. [TMQ; Nooh (71):13].

The believer, who properly estimates the Greatness of Allaah, will be guided to obey, fear, hope, and seek Him Alone. This estimation of Allaah fills the heart of the true believer such that he would not introduce anyone before Allaah (SWT) and His Messenger (PBUH). Therefore, the knowledge of Allaah entails that the Muslim resort only to Him, invoking Him by His Names and Attributes. That is why Allaah (SWT) says:

وَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡأَسۡمَآءُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ فَٱدۡعُوهُ بِہَا‌ۖ

“And (all) the Most Beautiful Names Belong To Allaah, so call on Him by them.” [TMQ; al-A’raaf (7): 180].

One of the Great Names of Allaah is االنور (An-Nur: The Light). It is one of the names of Allaah that are mentioned in conjunctive constructs (related names) and they are part of al-Asmaa’ Al- Husnaa. For example, Allaah’s Name ar-Rabb ( “The Lord”) always comes related to other words in the ayaat (verses) of the Qur’aan. We read in soorat al-Faatihah:

Rabbul ‘Aalameen {رب العالمين}

The Rabb of al-’Aalameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists):

Ar-Rabb: – ال رب Allaah is the Rabb: He gives all things the power to grow, to move, and to change; and to Whom belongs the Creation and Commandment. The Master Who has no equal in His Soveignty, Predominance, and Highness. The One Who Provides, Sustains, Owns, Cherishes, Organizes all that existing. Ar- Ruboobiyyah is an infinitive noun of Ar-Rabb.

(He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel.) (Holy Quran, 43: 59)

(They say, “((Allah)) Most Gracious has begotten a son!” Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, That they should invoke a son for ((Allah)) Most Gracious. For it is not consonant with the majesty of ((Allah)) Most Gracious that He should beget a son. Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to ((Allah)) Most Gracious as a servant. He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly. And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment.) (Holy Quran, 19: 88 -95)

These noble verses have summarized the Muslim’s concept, faith and belief in Allah1 (S.W)2, the One and only, and His prophet Jesus (PBUH)1. He is a noble prophet and a great messenger whom Allah (S.W) sent to declare monotheism, and supported him with signs and guidance.

Monotheism, which is what Mohammad (PBUH) carried to humanity, is the faith and belief of all the prophets (PBUT) before him. (Not an apostle did we send before thee without this inspiration sent by us to him: that there is no god but I; therefore worship and serve Me.) (Holy Quran, 21: 25)

However, Christians believe contrary to the Muslims, as they believe that Jesus (PBUH) is the Son of Allah (S.W), and some of them believe that he is Allah (S.W) himself. They also believe that He, (Allah (S.W)) came down from heaven, incarnated, was slapped, suffered and crucified, for the atonement of the sin of humanity, which they inherited from their father Adam.

I question, where did they derive this belief, and is there some evidence in their books that support it? (Say, “Bring your convincing proof.) (Holy Quran, 21: 24)

In this third part of my series, considering the importance and the seriousness of this issue, I put forward my important questions, was Jesus (PBUH) a messenger or God? Is Allah (S.W) One or three? In order to answer these questions, I will search and investigate the Holy Bible, the Old and the New Testaments, supported by the clergymen’s and the western free thinker’s statements.

Allah (S.W) had sent his messengers – one after another – with signs, true guidance and light, to reveal them to people.

Among these faithful prophets was the great messenger and prophet, the Messiah, Jesus (PBUH). Allah (S.W.) bestowed the Gospel on him. “Then, We sent after them Our Messengers, and We sent ‘Îsâ (Jesus) – son of Maryam (Mary), and gave him the Injeel (Gospel). And We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy. But the monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them, but (they sought it) only to please Allâh therewith, but they did not observe it with the right observance. So We gave those among them who believed their (due) reward; but many of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).” (Al-Hadid: 27)

Allah (S.W.) asks the believers to believe in all prophets and in the revelations; He (S.W.) has given them. “Say (O Muslims), ‘We believe in Allâh and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Ismâ‘îl (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac), Ya‘qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya‘qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsâ (Moses) and ‘Îsâ (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm).’” (Al-Baqarah: 136)

Describing the believers, Allah (S.W.) says, “The Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله علیھ وسلم ) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say), ‘We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers.’” (Al-Baqarah: 285)

The Gospel that Allah (S.W.) revealed to Jesus (PBUH) is not necessarily the chapters of the New Testament, which Christians consider holy, and was written by Jesus’ (PBUH) disciples and those after them. These human stories, biographies, and letters are not the revelation that Allah (S.W.) had revealed to Jesus (PBUH).

How could people attribute their own writings to Allah (S.W.) falsely? “Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, ‘This is from Allâh,’ to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby.” (Al- Baqarah: 79)

This verse is clear divine evidence that the people of the book (Jews and Christians) had altered and changed the word of God. It declares that what they have now, Old and New Testaments is not the word of Allah (S.W.).

Nevertheless, Muslims have no objection that some of the New Testament passages, which tell us about Jesus’ (PBUH) advices, sayings and deeds, are true. This is the Muslims’ opinion regarding this issue. Christians believe that the New Testament is Allah’s (S.W.) word that was written by holy men with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

However, do the scientific historical evidences (and even the New Testament passages) support what the Holy Quran says or do they support the Christians belief? In our first book of this series, we proved that the Old Testament is not the word of Allah (S.W.). In this message, which is the second in this series, we will answer another question; is the New Testament God’s word?

To answer this question, we will investigate the Holy Bible, Christian theologians, researchers, and the science and history scholars, and following a scientific methodology.

Asking and praying to Allah (S.W.) to guide us all to the right path, I present this work to anyone who is looking for the truth.

The second step is coming to love God — again through the wonder of divine creations, one’s own being, in the sacred gift of life, and in meeting God through our daily activities and awareness.

Finally, the third step is to learn to serve God — in preserving and respecting all of creation, in caring for others and oneself, in giving God our daily praise and prayer.

The order in which we learn these steps is very important, for one cannot love someone who is unknown, nor can anyone genuinely serve someone they do not love.

Ideally, however, the steps of knowing, loving and serving should be pursued in parallel, so that even as imperfect human beings, we can always be in the blessed state of knowing a little, loving a little, and serving a little. From there, we can increase our spiritual fitness toward knowing more, loving more and serving more.

Verily Allah the Exalted, the Most High, sent His Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) with the Guidance, and revealed upon him al-Qur’an. A complete constitution for this eternal Ummah, until Allah inherits the earth and that which is upon it.

He bestowed upon him the interpretation of al-Qur’an and something comparable to it, with it.

For the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) is composed of statement and action, it is derived from the Book of Allah, and is indicative of its meaning.

The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) promptly seized the Noble Book and the Purified Sunnah, safeguarding, studying and recording [the two sources of revelation].

Allah obligated Himself the task of protecting and preserving His Honoured Book. He appointed for the Prophetic tradition, those who would protect and devote their attention to it, from the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to our time now, and until Allah inherits the earth and that which is upon it.

By the providence/ of Allah, the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) has occupied the platform of patronage and concern by the Scholars in every age and land. Hence, they have completed the preservation, recording and codification [of the Sunnah] [by means of] the works of Musnad, the authentic compilations, the works of Sunan, and the Hadeeth based lexicons. From amongst those who have participated in this noble service of the Sunnah and it’s codification is Imam Abu Zakariyyah Yahya ibn SharafAl-Nawawee Al-Dimashqee [631-676 H]. He is reckoned to be amongst the exemplary and distinguished personalities of the seventh century. He authored numerous books of great benefit in miscellaneous subjects, ubiquitously accredited with praise and eulogy for their immense value.

Accordingly, the Scholars devoted themselves to their study, deriving benefit, and transmitting from them by virtue of their utility. Amongst the most ubiquitous in presence and apparent in circulation, between the Scholars’ and the general populace, is the book [entitled] Riyadh al- Saliheen.

“And of mankind are some who take (for worship) other besides Allaah as rivals (to Allaah). They love them as they love Allaah. But those who believe love Allaah more (than anything else).” (Al-Baqarah: 165)

The love of Allaah is a great rank which people compete to earn, strive to obtain, sacrifice for its sake and work hard to be worthy of. Love is the provision of hearts, the food of souls, a comfort for the eyes and the life which when people deprived themselves of it, die while they are still alive. This love is the light which when extinguished results in people living in darkness; it is the sweetness which when squandered, causes people to live their life in grief and agony.

About the Author:

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Khalifah ibn al-Tamimi was born in al-Madinah in the year 1374H (1959). He graduated from the Islamic University of Madinah and subsequently obtained his Masters (1406H) and Doctorate (1410H) at the University, specializing in Aqidah. At present he is an associate Professor at the University in the faculty of Da’wah and Usul al-Din and he is also the head of the Academic Research section at the University. The Shaykh has a number of works that have been published ranging from verifications of the classical works, articles for various magazines as well as a number of works he himself has authored. Then we discussed the biography of the Prophet (S) mentioning his characteristics and the proofs of his prophet hood. Then we covered some events that the Prophet prophesized about and that have already taken place before our century. When we gave an account of events that took place after the Prophet’s death, we pointed out those occurrences about which a Hadeeth gave information. Since we already mentioned those prophesies that have already become realized and since it would be too long to repeat them all here, we will suffice by mentioning only a few examples, after which we will return to the main theme of this work. And we seek help from Allah.

4. Learning and teaching the Qur’aan: The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur’aan and teaches it to others.” (Bukhaari)
5. The Mention of Allah: The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Shall I not tell you about the best of your deeds, the most pure (i.e., righteous and sincere) of them to your Creator, that which will entitle you to the highest ranks for the sake of Allaah, which is better than fighting your enemies in Jihaad where you kill them or they kill you (i.e., you become martyrs)?” The people replied: “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” So he (PBUH) said: “The mention of Allaah.” (Tirmidhi)

Shaykh Muhammad Mitwalli ash-Sha’rawi was born in a middle class family in the village of Daqadus in Egypt. Educated at the famous Al Azhar University where scholars such contributed Shaykh Ahmad Yusuf Nagati , Shaykh Ahmad `Imara , Shaykh Ibrahim Hamrush, Saykh Muhammad Mustafa al-Maraghi . Shaykh al-Sha’rawi mentions other non-Azharites whose knowledge he benefited from including Imam Hassan al-Banna who had a unique mythology of lecturing. Shaykh al-Sha’rawi started his Azharite teaching work in Tanta’s institute of religious studies. He was then transferred to equivalent institutes in al-Zaqaziq, Alexandria and King Abd al-Aziz al-Sa’ud university in Makkah He retired from the Azharite career in 1976. In the same year he was appointed by president Sadat as a minister of Waqf. He stayed in that position for two years. In 1980 he started his famous Friday lessons on the Egyptian television. His speaches in Qur’an interpretation (Tafsir) attracted a massive audience that is probably unparalleled by any contemporary Azharite.

Also, the Two Sahihs recorded Abu Hurayrah saying that the Prophet said, “The most despicable name to Allah is a person who calls himself the king of kings, while there are no owners except Allah.” Also the Two Sahihs recorded that the Messenger of Allah said, “(On the Day of Judgement) Allah will grasp the earth and fold up the heavens with His Right Hand and proclaim, ‘I Am the King! Where are the kings of the earth Where are the tyrants Where are the arrogant”. Also, in the the Glorious Qur’an; “Whose is the kingdom this Day Allah’s, the One, the Irresistible.”(40:16)

Abu Eesa completed his higher education in London. He read Pharmacy at the University of Manchester and is a Member of the RPSGB. He works part-time as a Pharmacy Manager.

He studied Anthropology at Manchester. Later he studied Arabic, Islamic Law and the Koran in Mauritania, Medina, Morocco, Egypt and Pakistan. His main teacher remains Sheikh Kehlan al-Jubury with whom he still continues his studies in Islamic Law and Exegesis. He has also studied Hadith under the Hadith Expert Abdullah al-Judai.

Abu Eesa is a teacher and an international lecturer. He founded “Prophetic Guidance” following on from his teacher’s magazine of the same name, an organization claiming to be “a non-profit educational institute” that aims to “unify the various Muslim communities by disseminating classical non-sectarian Islamic knowledge, utilising the media in its various present forms”.

The Qur’an (”Qor-Ann”) is a Message from Allah (swt) to humanity. It was transmitted to us in a chain starting from the Almighty Himself (swt) to the angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad (saw). This message was given to the Prophet (saw) in pieces over a period spanning approximately 23 years (610 CE to 632 CE). The Prophet (saw) was 40 years old when the Qur’an began to be revealed to him, and he was 63 when the revelation was completed. The language of the original message was Arabic, but it has been translated into many other languages.

The Qur’an is one of the two sources which form the basis of Islam. The second source is the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw). What makes the Qur’an different from the Sunnah is primarily its form. Unlike the Sunnah, the Qur’an is literally the Word of Allah (swt), whereas the Sunnah was inspired by Allah but the wording and actions are the Prophet’s (saw). The Qur’an has not been expressed using any human’s words. Its wording is letter for letter fixed by no one but Allah.

Prophet Muhammad (saw) was the final Messenger of Allah to humanity, and therefore the Qur’an is the last Message which Allah (swt) has sent to us. Its predecessors such as the Torah, Psalms, and Gospels have all been superseded. It is an obligation – and blessing – for all who hear of the Qur’an and Islam to investigate it and evaluate it for themselves. Allah (swt) has guaranteed that He will protect the Qur’an from human tampering, and today’s readers can find exact copies of it all over the world. The Qur’an of today is the same as the Qur’an revealed to Muhammad (saw) 1400 years ago.

The Mercy Of Allah Through Our Parents

Allaah mentions the command to treat parents well alongside the command to worship Him as He says (interpretation of the meaning): “And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents” [al-Isra’ 17:23] Obedience to parents is obligatory on the child with regard to that which will benefit them and will not harm the child. With regard to that which does not bring them any benefits or which will cause harm to the child, he does not have to obey them in that case. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Ikhtiyaaraat (p. 114): A person is obliged to obey his parents with regard to that which is not sinful, even if they are immoral evildoers… This has to do with that which is beneficial for them and not harmful to him.
