# Moderation and temperance are keynote of Islam

The simplicity of Islam, the powerful appeal and compelling atmosphere of its mosques, the earnestness of its faithful adherents, the confidence inspiring realization of the millions throughout the world who answer the five daily calls to prayer – these factors attracted me from the first.

The broad-minded tolerance of Islam for other religions recommends it to all lovers of liberty. Muhammad admonished his followers to treat well the believers in the
Old and New Testament; and Abraham, Moses, Jesus are acknowledged as co-Prophets of the One God. Surely this is generous and far in advance of the attitude of other religions.

Moderation and temperance in all things, keynote of Islam, won my unqualified approbation.

Col. Donald S. Rockwell – U.S.A.

# Islam alone can satisfy the needs of every member of the human family

Christianity must go the way of all things, and henceforth perish and forever to make room for the True Religion of God to mankind, and that is Islam, which is Truth, sincerity, toleration, looking to the interests of man and pointing him

to the Right Way. Islam alone can satisfy the needs of every member of the human family, and Muslims are the only people among whom can be found the “True Book of Brotherhood” in reality and not mere “make-belief’ as in Christianity .

Sir Jalaluddin Lauder Brunton – England

# Islam alone offers the solution of present-day problems

To the Western mind, the chief appeal of Islam must be its simplicity. Admittedly, there are one or two other faiths which are as easy of approach but they sadly lack the vitality of the Faith of the Prophet (may AWih bless him), and the spiritual and moral elevation which it offers.

Islam must also appeal by virtue of its tolerance … Strangely Christian intolerance awakened my first interest in Islam. The Churches are utterly incapable of grappling with present-day problems. Islam alone, offers the solution.

John Fisher – Newcastle

# In Islam I have found the true Faith for which I had been seeking so long

I devoted a considerable amount of my spare time to a thorough study of an English translation of the Holy Qur’ an, and as I read over and over again, certain of the words of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah exalt his mention), I could not help but see that here, at last, in Islam I had found the true faith for which I had been seeking so long.

I would like to say that I feel confident, that if only people in this and other Western countries can be brought to appreciate the full meaning of Islam, and what it stands for, the ranks of Islam will be daily swelled, only unfortunately there is a vast amount of misapprehension in the minds of many ‘Free Thinkers’ and others who still cling to their old creed simply because they require the moral courage to abandon a faith, with the principles of which they are, at variance, and to embrace Islam.

Walker H. Williams

#If Britain and Europe were converted to Islam, they would again be powerful forces for good

There is no version of Christianity which is really satisfactory. Christians believe that because of the fall of Adam and Eve, all human beings are born in a state of original. sin, and are unable by their own actions to merit Heaven. Muslims, however, do not believe that people are punished for the sin of Adam and Eve. They believe that all human beings are born of innocence, and can only lose their hope of Heaven by their own sins when they are old enough to be guilty of deliberate wrong-doing.

If Britain and Europe were converted to Islam, they would again be powerful forces for good. British and European Muslims are some of the best.

Khadija F.R. Fezoui – England

# The purity and simplicity of the Islamic Faith and its obvious Truth made a special appeal to me!

The purity and simplicity of the Islamic Faith, its freedom from dogma and sacredotalism and its obvious Truth made a special appeal to me. The honesty and sincerity of the Muslims, too, are greater than anything I have seen in Christians.

Another beauty ofIslam is its equality. It is only Islam that has real equality maintained between man and man and no other religion has anything like it. The Faith of Islam generates unity.

The Deen of Islam is also the cleanest religion in the world because Muslims have to wash the exposed parts of the body five times a day, a practice not found in any other religion of the world.

Truly And Falsely Jesus In The Bible

http://futureislam.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/truly-and-falsely-jesus-in-the-bible.jpg?w=450&h=395

Saleh Ali Alsobiyl

There is a biblical verse which clearly indicates that there was no unanimous agreement about Jesus, his reality and message, among those who went to preach about him after his ascension. Rather, there was substantial dispute among them to the point that one of those preachers announced his worry to his followers, and warned them from the deception of another preacher, who may come to them and preach a different Jesus to the one he had presented to them. This preacher depicted his counterpart as the Devil who deceived Eve by his lies, afraid that the minds of his followers may be corrupted, and that they would gladly tolerate the one who comes to them and preaches another Jesus. This is in a clear text, thus: ―I am afraid that your minds will be corrupted and that you will abandon your full and pure devotion to Christ, in the same way that Eve was deceived by the serpent’s lies. For you gladly tolerate the one who comes to you and preaches a different Jesus not the one we preached.‖ (2 Corinthians 11: 3-4)

This verse clearly speaks about two different, alternative images of Jesus were preached to people after his ascension. These two different images found their way to the New Testaments, and their pieces scattered into many chapters. These two different depictions cannot, of course, both be concurrently authentic. But one must be for Truly Jesus, and the other one is for Falsely Jesus. Both images cannot meet in one heart. Surely, Jesus cannot be the source of both different images. This book brings together these two biblical images of Jesus, examines them, explores their difference and answers the questions that may rise regarding them such as:

- What are the sources of Truly and Falsely Jesus?
- Why and how did Falsely Jesus appear?
- What title can be given to those who hang the image of Falsely Jesus in their hearts?
- When does the truth come out and falseness come to an end?
- Can the faith in Falsely Jesus benefit the one who believe in such Jesus?
- What is the relation between salvation and Jesus?
- What is the destiny of a person who relies on this false understanding?
- How can we find the correct way to God, And how can we be sure of it?
- What are the conditions of Salvation?

Can we really grasp the genuine reality of Jesus? Surely. But we risk the danger of being misguided by false information unless we purify our intention and seek the proven truth. And at this point, God will not let down his servant. Rather will guide him to the truth. Truly Jesus will remain as will as Falsely Jesus, until the Second Coming of Christ, when the truth will become clear and falsehood will be destroyed.

I pray to God to accept this effort as a sincere one, and to provide my dear readers with both clarity of intention and the ability to distinguish between the two readings of Jesus as presented in this book.

Salvation, the Goal

People of all geographic and religious backgrounds, throughout history, who believe in an afterlife, define salvation as a state of being saved from Hell. And who would not want to attain that goal? Only on the Day of Resurrection shall we be paid our recompense in full. Whosoever is removed from Hell and admitted to Paradise is indeed successful. The life of this world is but the enjoyment of illusion. Surely there can be only one true formula for salvation, but what is it? Is it a mystery or is it obvious? The followers of each religion claim that their understanding of salvation is correct. Of course there can be only one correct religion and, therefore, one correct understanding of salvation. And this must be the same conceptual understanding as taught by all the true messengers, since the first contact between heaven and earth.

We therefore need to be sure that our formula for salvation is correct before facing death. And for this purpose, with mercy, love, and care, I am writing this piece of research for you, my dear reader. I hope and pray that you will find the answers that you are looking for.

Why Jesus?

Many people believe that Jesus is the key to their salvation, their savior. Surely, he was a unique being because of his miraculous birth, his ascension and Second Coming. However, significant disputes remain about his reality and mission.

The message of God about faith and salvation was always the same throughout history. It was always based on ―submission‖ to the one and only true God, by complete obedience with devotion. This message of true faith was revealed to Adam who passed it to his children. Then it was confirmed by Noah and all the messengers and prophets of God who came after him. And it was sent throughout human history to various societies and nations, whenever they needed guidance, or when had strayed from the true path. So, the religion of God which came with all the messengers, contains the same pillars of faith even if there were different legal systems and patterns of worship from one prophet or messenger to another. That is until God chose to send the final revelation, with the final Law and the final salvation’s formula to all mankind for the remainder of human history. Continue reading

“Allah” (SWT): Frequently Asked Questions

Sheikh Yusuf Estes
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 18 | Size: 1 MB

“Is there evidence God exists?”

Answer:

Yes. Allah has sent down miracles, revelations and messengers to give clear proofs He exists and more important, what we should do once we come to this realization.

Allah has sent prophets and messengers with many proofs throughout the ages for people to be able to clearly see with their own eyes and to be able to use their own senses the miracles and proofs pointing to the fact, Allah does in fact, exist.

Miracles of prophets and messengers of Allah have come to people through the ages. Moses, peace be upon him, showed many miracles to pharoah and to the children of Israel. Plagues, locusts, water turning to blood, his stick becoming a snake, the voice in the burning bush and the parting of the Red Sea were are clear miracles for the people of Moses time.

Again, Allah sent Jesus, the son of Mary, peace be upon him, with clear miracles for the people of his time. Speaking from the cradle while still a new born infant, creating birds from clay, curing the sick, giving sight to the blind and even bringing a dead man back to life, were all clear signs to the people to know Jesus, peace be upon him, was a messenger of Allah as was Moses before him.

Muhammad, peace be upon him, was the last and final messenger of Allah, and he was sent to all of mankind. Allah sent him with a number of miracles, not the least of which was the Quran. The predictions and propheies of Muhammad, peace be upon him, have come true even in this century and the Quran has been used to convince even scientists of the existence of Allah. [Please visit "Science Proves Allah": Watch video of famous scientists admit Quran is from Allah and even accept Islam]

The Quran is the best of proofs for the existence of Allah and today over one and half billion people memorize and rectie from the exact text, in the exact same language it was revealed in; Arabic. More than 10 million Muslims have completely memorized the entire Quran from cover to cover, and can recite it from memory without looking at it.

No one sees or hears Allah, not even the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Nor are we able to use our senses to make some kind of contact with Him. However, we are encouraged in Islam to use our senses and our common sense to recognize all of this universe could not possibly come into existence on its own. Something had to design it all and then put it into motion. This is beyond our ability to do, yet it is something we can understand.

We know from the teachings of Muhammad, peace be upon him, the proofs for the existence of God (Allah) are most obvious to us in our everyday surroundings. Anyone with understanding would quickly acknowledge His existence provided they are not so stubborn as to ignore the obvious evidencers in front right in front of us.

We don’t have to see an artist to recognize a painting, correct? So, if we see paintings without seeing artists painting them, in the same way, we can believe Allah created everything without having to see Him (or touch, or hear, etc.).

“Why did God create everything?”

Answer:

Allah says in His Quran He did not create all of this for any foolish purpose. Allah Says:

51 – Az-Zariyat
And I did not Create the jinn and humans except they should worship Me. 51:56

He created us for the purpose of worshiping Him, Alone and without any partners.

11 – Hud
And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water, that He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds. But if you were to say to them: “You shall indeed be raised up after death,” those who disbelieve would be sure to say, “This is nothing but obvious magic.”

Allah has created all we call the universe as a test for us. This is not our final destination. What we might consider to be “bad” or “good” could actually be quite the opposite.

67 – Al-Mulk
Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He has the Ability to do all things. 67:1 (He’s the One) Who has created death and life, so He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving; 67:2

(Hes’ the One) Who has created the seven heavens one above another, you can see no fault in the creations of the Most Beneficent. Then look again: “Can you see any rifts?” 67:3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 67:4

The Quran tells us about the nature of mankind and how quickly we forget the many wonderful blessings provided to us daily. Allah describes our attitude clearly in His Quran:

39 – Az-Zumar
And when some hurt touches man, he cries to his Lord (Allah Alone), turning to Him in repentance, but when He bestows a favor upon him from Himself, he forgets that for which he cried for before, and he sets up rivals to Allah, in order to mislead others from His Path. Say: “Take pleasure in your disbelief for a while: surely, you are (one) of the dwellers of the Fire!” 39:8

We forget, as we were created to forget. And this is a part of our test. Will we only use a selective memory and overlook what we owe to our Creator and Sustainer? Or will we be appreciative even when we are suffering some hardship or setback in this life?

89 – Al-Fajr
As for mankind, whenever his Lord tests him giving him honor and gifts, he says (bragging): “My Lord honors me.” 89:15 But whenever He tests him by withholding his livelihood, he says: “My Lord has disgraced me!”89:16
Then Allah makes clear to us the real reasoning behind all that is taking place: Nay! But (it is because) you do not treat orphans with kindness and generosity. 89:17
And you do not encourage feeding of the poor! 89:18 And you devour inheritance with greed, 89:19 And you love wealth with abounding love! 89:20

Allah has created us and given us so much, yet we are so careless concerning His Right to be worshipped exclusively and deny the Day of Judgment wherein we will all be asked concerning His Generosity.

82 – Al-Infitar
O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 82:6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 82:7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 82:8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds).82:9

And how will we view our condition and surroundings? And how will we treat others around us? Are we considerate of others and are we quick to blame or quick to forgive? All of these things are a part of our test, the things we will be asked about on the DAy of Judgment. Continue reading

Dajjal: The False Messiah

http://futureislam.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/dajjal-the-false-messiah.jpg?w=450&h=395

Imam Ibn Kathir
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 51 | Size: 25 MB

The Prophet not only warned his Ummah against Dajjal; the false Messiah, but stated in detail his colour, height, width, eye-shape, inscriptions on his forehead, his seductions, his method of aberrance, how to escape from his temptations, his current location, and so on. All the details about Dajjal are here in this book.

Imam Ibn Kathir

He was Emaad Ed-Deen Isma’eel Ibn ‘Umar Ibn ibn Katheer , originally from Busra (Syria) – and raised in Damascus. He followed the Shafi`ee school of thought. Ibn Kathir was born in the year 700 AH or little later in an area called Majdal, near Busra, west of Damascus. His father died when he was only four years old and was taken in by his brother and moved to Damascus in 706. Here, he learned from great scholars such as Ibn Asakir, Ishaq ibn Yahya al-Amudi and the great Ibn Taymiyyah who was extremely close to him. He also studied under various other sheikhs who gave him permission in fiqh and Hadith. He made many academic contributions to Islamic sciences.

He made many academic contributions to Islamic sciences. The following are amongst his most prominent:

Tafseer of the Qur’an, Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah: a history of Muslims from Adam until Ibn Kathir’s time, At-Takmeel: a book on the science of Asmaaul Rijal (profiles of transmitters of Hadith), Jami`ul Masaneed: a book that collects the Hadith from ten major books of Hadith, , The classes of Shafi`ee scholars: a list of scholars following the Imam, Extraction of the traditions of Tanbeeh (a Shafi`ee book of jurisprudence), The commentary on al-Bukhari (which he did not finish), The book of laws (again, he did not complete it), The summary to the science of Hadith; a synopsis to the introduction of Ibn Saah’s work, Extraction of the traditions to the summary of Ibn Hajib, Musnad of the two sheikhs (Abu Bakr and Umar), Biography of the Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, The epistle of Jihad.

Many of These have been translated into the English Language (Even though some are Abrdged Translations),

Al-Hafiz Ibn hajar Al-Asqalani said,”Ibn Kathir lost his sight just before his life ended. He died in Damascus in 774A.H. May Allah grant him Mercy and make him amongst the residents of Jannah (Heavenly Garden). Continue reading

Is The Old Testament God’s Word?

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/is-the-old-testament-god-s-word.jpg?w=450&h=395

Munqidh Bin Mahmoud Assaqqar
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 184 | Size: 1.5 MB

Praise to Allah1 (S.W)2, the cherisher and sustainer of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon all of His messengers.

In every age and generation there will be honest people who are looking for the true guidance. Allah (S.W.) had sent his messengers with signs, light, and true guidance. “It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light.” (Holy Quran, Surah 5. Al-Ma’ida – 44)

“And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.” (Holy Quran, Surah 5. Al-Ma’ida – 46)

The Holy Quran, the final divine book, then was revealed to reveal the light and the true guidance. “O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary). There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book,- Wherewith Allah guides all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety, and leads them out of darkness, by His will, unto the light,- guides them to a path that is straight.” (Holy Quran, Surah 5. Al-Ma’ida – 15 -16)

However, the previous books of Allah (S.W.) that revealed to prophets were lost due to the circumstances of writing and the way of conservation, and they were subject to distortion and loss. Thus, people went astray from the guidance and the right path, and people used other books that attributed to Allah (S.W.).

These books do not contain – except slightly – the true guidance and light. These written books contain and conclude the weakness of the human beings and their ignorance. They are full of contradictions, and issues, which no sane or wise person would accept their attribution to Allah (S.W.). This does not mean that these books are lack of the true guidance completely, but, as I mentioned, they were subject to alteration and human contradiction.

This is the Muslims’ belief of the previous books. Muslims believe in the books that Allah (S.W.) had revealed to his prophets, but they do not accept that the Old Testament is Allah’s (S.W.) word, even though it contains some of His revelation and guidance.

However, Christians and Jews believe that these books (The books of the Old Testament) are divine, and consider them the word of Allah (S.W.) that He revealed to His prophets and the Jews read and kept throughout their long history.

With this significant difference between the two teams, I propose the question, “Is the Old Testament Allah’s (S.W.) word?”, which I will try to answer in this book of this series, and present it to those who are searching for the true guidance among the people of the book (Christians and Jews).

In this series, I will search the folds of the sacred books of the Christians, to look, through the big pile of falsehood, for the truth that the prophet had spoken. In addition, I will prove, to those who believe in the divinity of these books, that they are not the word of Allah (S.W.). I have endorsed my evidence with the sayings of the church scholars, its councils, and foundations. Moreover, I used some of the sayings of the Western free thinkers, who spoke some of the truth that we are looking for in this series; the true guidance and light series.

Oh our Lord (Allah S.W), guide us to the truth by your will, indeed, you guide whom you want to the right path. Amen. Continue reading

Is The New Testament God’s Word?

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/is-the-new-testament-god-s-word.jpg?w=450&h=395

Munqidh ibn Mahmoud As-Saqqaar
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 96 | Size: 2 MB

Allah (S.W) had sent his messengers – one after another – with signs, true guidance and light, to reveal them to people.

Among these faithful prophets was the great messenger and prophet, the Messiah, Jesus (PBUH). Allah (S.W.) bestowed the Gospel on him. “Then, We sent after them Our Messengers, and We sent ‘Îsâ (Jesus) – son of Maryam (Mary), and gave him the Injeel (Gospel). And We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy. But the monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them, but (they sought it) only to please Allâh therewith, but they did not observe it with the right observance. So We gave those among them who believed their (due) reward; but many of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).” (Al-Hadid: 27)

Allah (S.W.) asks the believers to believe in all prophets and in the revelations; He (S.W.) has given them. “Say (O Muslims), ‘We believe in Allâh and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Ismâ‘îl (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac), Ya‘qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya‘qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsâ (Moses) and ‘Îsâ (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm).’” (Al-Baqarah: 136)

Describing the believers, Allah (S.W.) says, “The Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله علیھ وسلم ) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say), ‘We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers.’” (Al-Baqarah: 285)

The Gospel that Allah (S.W.) revealed to Jesus (PBUH) is not necessarily the chapters of the New Testament, which Christians consider holy, and was written by Jesus’ (PBUH) disciples and those after them. These human stories, biographies, and letters are not the revelation that Allah (S.W.) had revealed to Jesus (PBUH).

How could people attribute their own writings to Allah (S.W.) falsely? “Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, ‘This is from Allâh,’ to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby.” (Al- Baqarah: 79)

This verse is clear divine evidence that the people of the book (Jews and Christians) had altered and changed the word of God. It declares that what they have now, Old and New Testaments is not the word of Allah (S.W.).

Nevertheless, Muslims have no objection that some of the New Testament passages, which tell us about Jesus’ (PBUH) advices, sayings and deeds, are true. This is the Muslims’ opinion regarding this issue. Christians believe that the New Testament is Allah’s (S.W.) word that was written by holy men with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

However, do the scientific historical evidences (and even the New Testament passages) support what the Holy Quran says or do they support the Christians belief? In our first book of this series, we proved that the Old Testament is not the word of Allah (S.W.). In this message, which is the second in this series, we will answer another question; is the New Testament God’s word?

To answer this question, we will investigate the Holy Bible, Christian theologians, researchers, and the science and history scholars, and following a scientific methodology.

Asking and praying to Allah (S.W.) to guide us all to the right path, I present this work to anyone who is looking for the truth. Continue reading

Top 10 Reasons Why Jesus Christ Is Not God

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/top-10-reasons-why-jesus-christ-is-not-god.jpg?w=593

Joshua Evans

A marvelous episode from the Deenshow.com about the top ten reasons why Jesus (peace be upon him) is not a god. Brother Joshua Evans confirms that he can mention additional reasons along with what he said and that the reasons are not confined to these ten reasons. They are here in a descending order:

10- God cannot be born.
9- No explicit statement in which Jesus said, “I’m God” or “Worship me”.
8- No one can see God in this life.
7- Jesus never taught the Trinity.
6- God does not sleep, eat, drink, etc. Jesus slept, ate, drank, etc.
5- Jesus does not know everything.
4- Jesus explicitly states that he is not God.
3- The Bible does not call Jesus the son of God alone.
2- God cannot change. He is perfect.
1- God is the essence of the worship. He is the object of worship. Had Jesus been God, he would have told people to worship him. Truly, he did the exact opposite as in Matthew 15:9. Continue reading

The Key To Happiness

All praise is due to Allah alone, and may Allah exalt the mention of our Prophet and render him, his household and his companions safe from every evil.

You may find the ‘key to your happiness’ by spending a few minutes reading through this booklet, so don’t ‘jump the gun’ by holding preconceived notions till you completely read through it. You can’t judge a book by its cover, nor would you have read a book by simply skimming through it.

Dear reader, I think you will agree with me that we live in a beautiful world that is worthy of contemplation; the creatures that dwell within it, the intricate correlation of planets, heavenly bodies and galaxies that can be witnessed are proof enough; if there were no Creator everything would fall into chaos! God, the Exalted, says:

“It is not possible for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.” (36:40)

These heavenly bodies will continue in their orbits until the Creator ordains that they are to stop, at which point chaos would spread; marking the end of this life as we know it. God, the Exalted, says:

“When the sky breaks apart and when the stars fall, scattering and when the seas are erupted and when the [contents of] graves are scattered [i.e., exposed]” (82:1-4) Continue reading

The Muslim scholar Abu Ameenah Philips has kindly agreed to let MSA-USC display three chapters (1, 2, and 10) from his book “The Fundamentals of Tawheed (Islamic Monotheism)”. This book is highly recommended reading for those who would like to learn about the basis of Islam: there is no being worthy of worship except Allah (God), and Allah is Absolutely One and Absolutely Unique. We note also that a Muslim is further obligated to accept the Prophet Muhammad (saws) as Allah’s final prophet to humanity.

The Fundamentals Of Tawheed: Tawheed, the oneness of God, is the core of the Islamic faith. Mankind is assigned the duty of implementing this concept on earth in every walk of life since the days of Adam. However, Satan spares no effort to distract mankind from the guided path. This book points out and clarifies this concept. Continue reading

The Concept Of God In Islam

Hasan Abdul Hakim

The Concept of God in Islam: There is no God but Allah (SWT). The first part of the Muslim confession of faith (the Shahada) is the basis for the concept of God in Islam. The Muslim bears witness that: “There is no god but God”. or “no divinity but the (one) Divinity”. The revealed Scripture of Islam, the Qur’an, is like a vast commentary on this simple statement, drawing from it all its implications for human life and thought.  This book higlights Islams conception of diety through a concise look at Qur’anic verses and our everyday surroundings. Overall this brief book provides a good introductory guide to a muslims primary belief in God. Continue reading

Amongst us, human beings, none is completely devoid of the innate feeling – even from time to time – that there is a Creating God behind this universe. Such a feeling may be frustrating and people may be prevented from responding to it by the teachings they get as a result of their belonging to a particular environment, their indulgence in earthly life and cheap pleasure naturally, the Almighty Creator should differ from us in all respects:

لَيۡسَ كَمِثۡلِهِۦ شَىۡءٌ۬‌ۖ

“And unto Him the like is not”(Ash-Shûrâ : 11)

Most people could not be easily induced by this sincere feeling of the existence of the Creator to follow the right path leading to Him. Thus, Allâh [God’s name in Islâm] sent Prophets and Messengers – Allâh’s prayer and peace be upon them – with Divine support in the form of miracles suitable to their environment, until the advent of the last of His Messengers,Prophet Muhammad, who emerged after the maturity of the human thinking when the age of science was immanent; Allâh supported him with the Qur’ân to be an Eternal Miracle. Islamic Facts: Refuting Allegations Against Islam

Ever since its advent, Islam has been engaged in a continuous struggle against the repeated endeavours to obliterate the truth for which it stands. This struggle will continue until the world comes to an end, since the struggle between truth and falsehood and between virtue and sin is eternal and began with the creation of man and will continue as long as mankind inhabits the earth.

Islam is the final and conclusive Divine Faith revealed by God Almighty, and accordingly the last link or Divine communication from the heavens to the earth. As such Islam has been subjected to more false accusations than the previous religions since it came: ” in truth confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety”.(5/48) The allegations against Islam, since its advent and until the present day, have been repeatedly circulated, the only difference being the wording and the attempt to present them in a semblance of scientific diction. The scholars of Islam answered these allegations each according to his own thought and we do not belittle the efforts of those scholars.

The aim of this book is to present conclusive and verified proof regarding the most important allegations against Islam that have been raised and repeated in recent years especially in the age of the Internet. Accordingly, God Willing, in the very near future, these authentic proofs will be transmitted on the Internet, and thus we offer our modest contribution in dispelling all points of misunderstanding and misrepresentation regarding the Faith of Islam, its teachings, and its Prophet. The Forbidden, Issues Of Great Importance That We Underestimate. Al-Muharramat (the forbidden) are the limits of Allaah (the Mighty and Magnificent). “These are the limits of Allaah, so do not approach them”. . Allaah has threatened whoever transgresses His limits and violates His sacraments stating (Glorified be He): “And whoever disobeys Allaah and His messenger and transgresses His limits – He will put him into the fire to abide eternally therein, and he will have a humilating punishment.” It is obligatory to avoid al-muharramaat in view of the saying of the prophet: “And whatever I forbade you, then avoid it and whatever I enjoined upon you, then fulfill as much of it as you able.” I ask Allaah guidance, success, and observance of His limits for myself and for my Muslim brothers. I ak Him (Glorified be He) to help us avoid al-muharramaat and protect us from sins and evil deeds, Allaah is the best protector and He is the Most Merciful. Continue reading

The God That Never Was

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/the-god-that-never-was.jpg?w=450&h=395

Ahmed Deedat
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 19 | Size: 1 MB

Islam is the only religion which teaches the existence of a PERFECT God. A perfect God means that there is no sharer in His Nature and His Attributes: “Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; and there is none like unto Him.” (Quran, 112:1-4)

There has appeared a man in Benoni. He is not qualified in theology, but is fondly cherishing the self-delusion that he is an apostle of Christ, appointed by God to convert Muslims to Christianity. Because he is a lawyer by profession, he is adept at juggling with words and quoting the Holy Quran totally out of context without knowing a word of Arabic. He wants Muslims to believe that Jesus was also a God, a belief that is abhorrent to us, because it is an antithesis of the Absolute perfection of Allah Subhaanahoo Wa Ta ‘Aala! Thus intent upon reversing the process of Truth, which is: “And say: The Truth has come and falsehood vanished. Surely falsehood is ever bound to vanish.” (Quran, 17:81). In this he will never succeed because the process of Truth is irreversible. Continue reading

Sheikh Ali Al-Tantawi was born in Damascus, Syria in 1909. He is well-known all over the Muslim world – a recognized authority on Islamic sciences, and widely read in the modern culture. He is the author of over forty books. The present book is one of the best introductions to Islam. It has gone into more than twenty-five Arabic editions, and translated into several languages, such as English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Bosnian etc. Describing the book, Sue Lake, from B.BC. in London, has said: “The anecdotal examples that Sheikh Tantawi gave clarified complicated concepts about Islam, particularly about the psychology of human beings, our weakness, our relationship with the cosmos, and therefore the need to follow the sharia in order to develop our inner faith and dependence on God, and therefore evolve in the best possible way during our short time on earth”. Why Were We Created

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/why-were-we-created.jpg?w=450&h=395

Dr. Bilal Philips
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 10 | Size: 1 MB

We have to answer the most fundamental question that every human being asks himself at some point in his or her lifetime. Not just Muslims, but every single human being. “Why was I created? Why am I here? What am I doing in this world? Why did God create me?” These questions, are questions which each and everyone of us reflects on at some point during their life. We have some answers, which are given generally, but usually these answers don’t satisfy us, they seem somewhat simplistic. We still wonder. “Why me? Why here?” I know all of you, generally speaking, in the back of your mind, you are saying “to worship Allâh, khallas (finish), what more is there to say? Why do we need to have a big long talk on why we were created, when we all know it is to worship Allâh?” But wait, if this is presented to a non-Muslim, the next logical question would be “why does Allâh want us to worship Him?” and then your stuck.

It means, in our own minds it is not really clear to us. Why did Allâh create us to worship Him? The question, why did Allâh create us, for some people, and we have to deal with those people around us, who don’t consider there to be any purpose in man’s creation because he is just a product of evolution that the forces of nature have produced him, and just as we don’t have apes, dogs or cows thinking about why they are here, then we don’t really have to think about it either. Of course that being the basis of the philosophy of western society, that man is without purpose, then the whole issue of government, morality etc has no basis in Revelation, there is no guidance there. The product of this is of course the corruption that we are living in.

For a Muslim, when we go in to this topic, we have to find our understanding in divine revelation and not human speculation. Because human speculation has no bounds, we can imagine all kinds of things, and is any of you have studied philosophy of religion, you can see how many opinions exist about the creation of man and existence. Because of the variety of philosophies, which are out there, no one can say this one is correct or that one is incorrect, because there is no guidance behind it. No divine revelation. It is only from divine revelation that we can determine the reality of our creation, because it is Allâh who has created us and he knows the purpose of our creation. We can hardly understand ourselves, much less try to understand the essence of things. So it is for Allâh to inform us through the revelation in the Qur’ân and the Sunnah which was brought by his last Messenger sallallâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam and the Messengers before. Now if we are to look, initially into revelation, to determine why was man created, there is a deeper question that we should be asking before that. “Why did God create?” Before we even get to man, why did god create, because man is not the greatest act of creation that we should be so focused on why man. No, because Allâh says:

لَخَلۡقُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَڪۡبَرُ مِنۡ خَلۡقِ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَڪۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

“The creation of the Heavens and the Earth is indeed greater then the creation of mankind; yet, most of mankind know not.” [Sûrah Ghâfir, verse 57]

Man is not the greatest act of creation, this universe is far more complex and far more magnificent then man. So the issue of creation should then go to why create? As opposed to simply why create man?

Fundamentally, we can say that the creation is the natural consequence of the attribute of creator. Allâh is the creator. That is one of his attributes. That is what he has informed us. That being his attribute, the creator, the natural consequence or the product of this attribute is his creation. Continue reading

Rulings Of (Udhiyah) Sacrifice

Sheikh Muhammad Salih al-Monajjid
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 08 | Size: 1 MB

Udhiyah refers to the animal (camel, cattle or sheep) that is sacrificed as an act of worship to Allaah, in the country in which the person offering the sacrifice lives, during the period from after the Eid prayer on the Day of Nahr (Eid al-Adhaa) until the last of the Days of Tashreeq (the 13 th day of Dhu’l-Hijjah), with the intention of offering sacrifice. Udhiyah is one of the great rituals of Islam, in which we remember the Unity of Allaah, His blessings upon us and the obedience of our father Ibraaheem to his Lord, and in this act of udhiyah there is much goodness and blessing. So the Muslim must pay attention to its great importance. This book is a brief look at this important ritual. Continue reading

Non-Muslim Religious Celebrations & Ruling On Part Participating

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/non-muslim-religious-celebrations-and-ruling-on-part-participating.jpg?w=450&h=395

Sheikh Muhammad Salih al-Monajjid

The conflict between truth and falsehood is ongoing and will last as long as this world remains. The fact that some groups among the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) are following the people of falsehood such as the Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, idol-worshippers and others, whilst a group is remaining steadfast to the truth despite the pressures, is all part of the decreed system of the universe. But this does not mean that we should give in and follow the ways of those who are astray, because the one who told us that this would inevitably happen also warned us against following this path, and he commanded us to adhere firmly to Islam no matter how many people deviate from it and no matter how strong they become. He told us that the blessed one is the one who adheres steadfastly to the truth no matter what the distractions, at a time when the one who does righteous deeds will earn the reward of fifty men whose deeds are like those of the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) – as was reported in the hadeeth of Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani (may Allaah be pleased with him).

Among the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) there will be people who deviated from the truth and went towards falsehood, changing and altering things. Their punishment will be that they will be kept away from the Hawd (Cistern) whilst those who adhered to the Straight Path will come and drink from it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“I will precede you to the Cistern, and men from among you will be brought to me, and when I stretch forth my hand to them, they will be pulled away. I will say, ‘O Lord! My followers!’ and it will be said:

‘You do not know what they innovated after you were gone.’” According to another report: “I will say: ‘May he be doomed, the one who changed (the religion) after I was gone.’” Continue reading

Due to the increase in the number of magicians and fortunetellers lately, those who claim the ability to cure  people by the use of magic and fortunetelling, and due to their spread in some of the Muslim countries and the way  they take advantage of some simple-minded, ignorant people, it became necessary for me to clarify the great danger of these people on Muslims and Islaam, for it entails becoming attached to other than Allaah and disobeying His commands and the command of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Who among us does not sin? And who among us does all that is required of him in the religion? It is an undeniable fact that we all have shortcomings; what distinguishes some of us from the others, what raises some of us above the others, is that the successful ones among us are those who repent their sins and ask Allah to forgive them. It is truly encouraging to know that the door to repentance is always open. Glad tidings, then, to every Muslim who constantly and consistently hastens to repent to Allah and to ask for His forgiveness. Continue reading

Preparing For The Day Of Judgement

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/preparing-for-the-day-of-judgement.jpg?w=450&h=395

Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalani
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 49 | Size: 1 MB

This is a compilation of some of the wise sayings of the Prophet (pbuh), the companions, and of the pious predecessors and ascetics. Reflecting on these wise sayings and heeding these counsels will assist in infusing us with the requisite awareness and fervour to prepare for the Day of Judgement. We are all in need of such counsel, for our Day of Judgement begins not when the world ends, but when our life comes to an end – which is indeed imminent – as the Prophet (pbuh) stated.

Counsel of Threes

1 – It has been reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said, “The one who wakes up in the morning and complains about the  scarcity of livelihood, it is as though he is complaining against his Lord. The one who wakes up and is sad over the affairs of the dunya, is as though he has woken up angry with Allah.  And the one who humbles himself in front of a rich man because of his wealth will have lost two thirds of his Religion.”

2 – Abu Bakr al-Siddiq said, “There are three things which can not be attained through another three: wealth with hope, youth with dyeing [the hair], and health with medication.”

3 – Umar ibn al-Khattab said, “good interaction with people is half of intelligence, good questioning is half of knowledge, and good planning is half of subsistence.”

4 – Compassion and Kindness to Animals

5 – Uthman ibn Affan said, “the one who leaves the dunya Allah Exalted will love him; and the one who leaves sins, the Angels will love him; and the one who has no craving for the possessions of the Muslims, the Muslims will love him.”

Counsel of Nines

1 – The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Allah the Exalted revealed to Musa ibn Imran (Moses) in the Torah that the source of all mistakes are three – arrogance, envy and greed. Another six diseases were born out of these three, and thus they became nine – satiety, excessive sleep, excessive rest, love of wealth, love of praise, and love of leadership…

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani

Diseases Of The Hearts And Their Cure

Know O beloved reader that it is most important to spend one’s time and energy in treating the heart, and hastening to correct and purify it from sickness and all sins. This is due to the heart occupying a great and lofty position in Islaam, for it is the place to which the Lord looks and the storehouse for tawheed, faith, and sincerity. Actions are distinguished, one from the other, with respect to their excellence in the Sight of Allah in accordance with the condition of the heart, not by their number or form, but rather due to the strength of the caller, his or her truthfulness, his or her sincerity and the extent to which he or she prefers Allah over himself or herself … Al-Haafidh ibn Hajr al-Asqalaanee, may Allah have mercy upon him and provide us with his knowledge, said: “The heart has been singled out for this because it is the leader of the body, and through the purification of the leader the subjects become c, and with his corruption they become corrupted. So if you, O servant of Allah, with to cure your heart then it is upon you to be truthful with regards to seeking refuge with Allah and putting your trust in Him, to pray a great deal of superogatory prayers, to perform the actions of obedience to Allah frequently, to pray the night prayer while the people are sleeping, and to treat your heart by making it continuously stick to the remembrances and by befriending only the righteous … and to frequently recite the Qur’an. And Allah will indeed allow all of this to be preserved by him.” Continue reading

Verily The Victory Of Allah Is Near

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/verily-the-victory-of-allah-is-near.jpg?w=500&h=439

Shaykh Abdillah Sulaymān Ibn Nasir Ibn ‘Abdillah Al-‘Ulwan
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 50 | Size: 1 MB

This small treatise from the noble Shaykh, Imām Sulaymān Ibn Nāsir Al-‘Ulwān, may Allāh free him, is both topical and relevant, concerning the current state of affairs which the Islāmic nation is now facing. And due to this fact, we found it beneficial for the many English speaking Muslims to read and perhaps learn and grasp its meanings. We have added several additional footnotes (with Trans. Note) in order to aid the translation, clarify certain points and lastly, to add additional evidences in order to make the issues that are raised, less ambiguous. We have also added an appendix to the text of the book with a short biographical account of the Shaykh and his background, in order to introduce the author to the English reader. We have summarized this from a larger treatise, which will be referenced in that section, In Shā’ Allāh. And we ask Allāh to accept this small effort from us and help it to benefit the young men and women of the Islāmic nation and be a source of inspiration for them upon the truth.

Many of the Islāmic peoples live in a variety of different countries and an array of cities within a heap of blunders and mischievous conduct with an exposure of their honour and a loss of their rights and property. And (they live among) confusions in their ideologies and in a scarcity and weakness of successes and attempts (to reform) and they are increasingly turning away with an outpouring of misguidance in belief (‘Aqīdah) and methodology (Manhaj) both in the political and economical life, during a time of the spreading of the calls of nationalism and the ideologies of secularism and the currents of atheism and the symbols of mysticism (Sūfiyyah) and idolatry. And this corruption has spread in their nation (Ummah) and many of them are submerged in that which harms him and does not benefit him. And he is unmindful of that which he was created for and his duty and his message in this life.

And in order to destroy this misguidance and these things that are worshipped besides Allāh and these traits of the Days of Ignorance (Jāhiliyyah) that are present everywhere, and these ideas which oppose the Sharī’ah and these institutions that are astray from Legislation of Allāh, it is a must to return to Islām in its established form, including the submission to Allāh with Tawhīd and obedience to Him with devotion while being free from Shirk and its people and ruling with the Legislation of Allāh in His Earth with sincerity towards Him with one’s actions.

So this is the basis of Tawhīd and without it, there is no meaning for life. Allāh, the Most High said:

وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ

And I (Allāh) created not the Jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). [Ath-Thāriyāt, 56]

In other words, to make Him One. And the Tawhīd is the basis of the religion (Dīn) and its foundation. And it is the reality, which the People of Truth must not take any path in turning away from it, (including) the establishment of its rights and confronting the societies with it. And this is the (proper) institution of the world and it is the Message of the Muslims to all of the nations and peoples. He, the Most High said:

Say: “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is equal between us and you, that we worship none but Allāh, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allāh. Then, if they turn away, then say: “Bear witness that we are Muslims.” [Āl ‘Imrān, 64] Continue reading

This is a treatise we have written concerning humility (Khushu’) and the hearts meekness and breaking (inkisar) before the Lord. The basic meaning of Khushu’, is the softness of the heart, its being gentle, still, submissive, broken, and yearning. When the heart is humble, so too is the hearing, seeing, heard, and face; indeed all the limbs and their actions are humbled, even speech. This is why the Prophet (saw) would say in his bowing (ruku), “My hearing, sight, bones, and marrow are humbled to You,” another narration has, “and whatever my foot carries.” One of the Salaf saw a man fidgeting in his prayer and remarked, ‘If the heart of this person was humble, so too would his limbs be.’ The source of the Khushu, that takes place in the heart is the gnosis of Allah’s greatness, magnificence, and perfection. Teh more gnosis a person has of Allah, the more Khushu’ he has. The greatest action of worship which manifests the Khushu, of the body to Allah is the prayer (Salaah). Allah has praised those who have Khushu’ in the prayer. Continue reading

The Exquisite Pearl: The Journey to Allah and the Home of the Hereafter . Of all the faculties’ man has been endowed with, none excels the heart in importance and nobility. For the heart is both the seat of intelligence and understanding, and the locus of faith and spirituality; it is the quintessential faculty by which man may come to know his creator, and seek nearness and intimacy with Him. The heart’s spiritual sustenance lie sin its being receptive to the effusions of divine grace and guidance, without which the veils that cover it will continue to corrupt its primordial purity, gradually rendering it dysfunctional! Each veil- a metaphor for heedlessness, sins and distraction- that is melted away by the rays of faith and spiritual endeavour, allows vital qualities such as love of Allah, as well as hope, fear, remembrance, and reliance upon Him, are referred to in the religious vocabulary as spiritual stations; only when the heart embraces these stations is it said to be truly sound. The Majestic Qur’an informs: ‘The day when wealth and sons avail not, save him who brings to Allah a heart that is sound.’ This book explains some of the main spiritual stations that the heart is required to embrace as part of its worship of Allah and it’s journeying to Him. Each chapter commences with a line of poetry which highlights one of these spiritual stations; each stations is then explained in a clear, lucid style, seasoned with insights by some of the pietists and spiritual masters from the early Muslims. The nature and brevity of this book is such that it may be regarded as a primer to the science of suluk, or Muslim Spirituality. Continue reading

The issue of the deeds of the hearts is an immensely important subject, and this is why many scholars have written countless books on the subject – in order to remind and encourage people to perform them. These deeds require sacrifice and exertion because one’s salvation is dependant on them; moreover, the deeds of the limbs will not be performed if these of the heart are absent. Reliance upon Allaah is something that has an immense impact on a person; it is an implication of belief and is one of the finest deeds and acts of worship by which the slave can draw close to Allaah, the All-Merciful; It is one of the highest ranks of Islaamic monotheism because nothing can occur except through one relying and depending upon Allaah for it to do so.
