The Syrian Revolution:

The revolution of Syria is one of the most shocking turn of events in the early 21st century.

The people of Syria were bold enough to start demonstrations in the year 2011 against their Alawite Shi’a sect dictatorship – the Assad regime which stems all the way back to the early 1960s (starting with Hafiz Assad and now Bashar al Assad). The people of Syria had been dominated by tyrants and secret police (Shabiha – meaning ‘ghosts’), wherein over half the population were spies for the dictatorship (most out of fear for their own safety). If any person was even slightly suspected of being revolutionary, ‘extra’ religious or anti-Assad, their entire family would be raped, imprisoned, tortured, cut up (literally) and killed. This dictatorship and fear lasts and is still running for around 50years (1963- 2012+). Tens of thousands of Syrians were and are now being raped and killed by these (Alawite shi’a) dictators who considered the majority of the Syrian (Sunni) population their enemies.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“When the people of Sham (Syria, Jordan, Palestine) become corrupt then there will be no good in you. And there will not cease to be a group from my Ummah [nation] being helped; those that oppose them will not harm them, until the hour is established.” (Tirmidhi 2/30 – Authentic)

Similarly, when the people of Syria become good, the rest of the Muslim world will become good, successful and prosperous.

Since the Zionist and western powers had verbally supported Egypt’s transition from a Hosni Mubarak dictatorship (ruling for 20+ years) to a democracy in late 2010-11 because of the Egyptian revolution, it would be hypocritical of them to support the dictator Bashar al Assad. As a result, they stayed neutral to the oppressed revolutionaries of Syria, probably hoping that that the Bashar al Assad regime (which was guarding the Zionist Israel state from Islamists) would quash the revolution.

The Armed Syrian Revolution:

The peaceful Syrian demonstrators started to get shot at by the Shabiha (secret police of Syria) and they would ask the world community for help. But no world power helped them. Gradually some low ranked Syrian soldiers (majority being Sunnis) deserted from the army, giving rise to militias who would defend the Sunni majority population. Now the revolution was armed and becoming increasingly a religious war, the militias began to increase in number. (picture below: rebels praying in congregation).

http://futureislam.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/black-flags-from-the-east-a1.jpg

The beginning of AQ in the Syrian revolution (2011- 12):

A suspected Syrian AQ affiliate called Jubhat al Nusra (which survived in Syria as a proxy like AQI in Iraq during the era of Saddam) turned its back to the Syrian regime.

Jubhat al Nusra began to support the Syrian revolutionaries since they were Sunnis like them (note:

Salafis are Sunnis in that they follow the same Prophetic teachings unlike the Shi’a.)

The revolutionaries found light weaponry from deserted Syrian soldiers, as well as bribing Syrian soldiers with money to sell them weapons. Jubhat al Nusra was able to smuggle better weapons and expert bomb makers in from neighboring Iraq (since the Islamic State of Iraq was associated with them in ideology). This allowed the newly formed militias (the Free Syrian Army [FSA]) to grow and gain major successes . As I write this now (November 2012), there is a balance in territory between the revolutionaries and the Syrian dictatorship.

When it became inevitable (mid 2012) to Western powers that the Assad regime would not survive in the long run, they decided to support the Syrian revolution in words only – to gain influence over them, and to ensure that the end results of the revolution was a democratic state which is in accordance with Western interests (the Arab people consider this hypocritical since no western power criticized the 50 year old Assad regime as a dictatorship or undemocratic or against human rights against the Sunni population, and now they are criticizing the Islamist revolutionaries for wanting to rule according to the what they spilt their blood for). Sheikh Zahir Mahmood

A few people stand in the face of tyranny with endurance when they believe in the true and eternal message of Islam. This book sheds light on the life and struggle of the greatest example of endurance. Bilal bin Rabah whom Islam changed from a weak slave to a great hero, stood firm in the face of oppression and hence taught generations to come how a Muslim should act when his Faith is challenged. He was the only Mu’adhdhin (caller to prayer) during the lifetime of the Prophet*. His emblem all his life was `Allah is One, Allah is One.’

This erudite scholar was born in England and has gained licenses to teach (ijaazas) in many Islamic sciences including Qur’an, Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and Traditions (Hadith) of The Prophet (SAW) from various Shyukh.

Following the completion of his secular studies at the age of 16, he enrolled at Dar al-Uloom al-Arabiyya al-Islamiyya, Bury (a satellite college to al- Azhar University), where he initiated his studies of the Alimiya course. The author said in his introduction, “There are hundreds of benefits associated with Dhikr, the act of rehearsing and celebrating the praises of Allah. The well-known medieval scholar Ibn Al-Qaiyim mentioned more than seventy of these in his book Kitabul-Adhkar. Among the benefits he mentioned were that Dhikr drives away Satan, pleases Allah, the Merciful, and replaces pain and sorrow of the heart with peace happiness and contentment.” Continue reading

Ibn Taymeeyah’s Letters From Prison

https://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/ibn-taymeeyah-s-letters-from-prison.jpg

Shaykh ul-Islaam ibn Taymiyyah
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 35 | Size: 1 MB

This book contains a collection of letters demonstrating a side of the personality of Shaykul-Islaam ibn Taymeeyah which is not commonly recognized. Usually, it is his tough and uncompromising stances and his truthful, sometimes harsh retorts that are remembered. However, as this work demonstrates he was also a concerned son, a devoted teacher and a passionate defender of the religion. These letters were selected and introduced by Shaykul Muhammad Sulaiman al-Abdah.Born in Syria in 1941, and now residing in London, he has taught in the religious institutes and the Islaamic University of Madeenah. He now devotes his time to work in Islamic Da’wah.

All praises are due to Allaah. We praise Him, seek His help, and ask for (His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allaah from the evil in our souls and from our sinful deeds. W’hoever Allaah guides, no one can misguide. And whoever Allaah misguides, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship except Allaah. And I bear witness that Muhammad (SAAS) is His servant and messenger.

In their search for worthy examples, people tend to look to the past, hoping to resurrect the legacy of those great and honourable men who contributed greatly to the Ummah through their knowledge, wisdom, and courage. It is said that the people agonise when they find no one of significance to look up to. Fortuitously, society does not solely consist of the living, but also the dead. The greatest of the dead are still alive amongst us.

One of those unique men in lslaamic heritage was the dignified Scholar and valiant Mujaahid: Ahmad bin ‘Abdul-Haleem bin Taymeeyah. He was one of the most eloquent and truthful men in analysing the lslaamic mentality and methodology. Yet when we return to the lslaamic heritage, we should not be solely and sentimentally attached to the past, without it materializing and forming the basis and drive for our present and future. This is what we hope to achieve in this book.

Much of the heritage of Shaykh ul-lslaam IbnTaymeeyah has been published; yet it is still worth appreciating the age in which he lived and some of the features that it enjoyed, and crucially, the reasons behind the sending of the letters that are the subject of this book. The letters are predominantly extracted from two books: Majmoo’ ul-Fatawa, and al-’Uqood ud-Durreeyah, and, except the letter to the Christian king, are from his time in prison.

Ibn Taymeeyah was born on 10th Rabi al-Awwal 661 AH (1263 CE) in the town of Harran in the province of Jazeerah (1). He was a descendent of a very well known and established family, characterized by excellent memories and beauty of expression. His father, the Shaykh ‘Abdul-Haleem was a scholar of hadeeth, and his grandfather was Majdudeen Abul-Barakat, the author of Muntaqa al-Akhbar (2). Says the grandson, “Our grandfather was phenomenal in memorizing hadeeth, narrating them and in knowing people’s schools of thought.”

lbn Taymeeyah was born in an age of great cultural and political upheaval. It was only five years prior to his birth that Baghdad was ravaged and mercilessly destroyed by the Tatars, and his family had to flee to Damascus when he was young. The savagery of those invaders had undoubtedly given the boy a deep hatred of oppression, and further instilled in him courage to fight the enemy.

The age of lbn Taymeeyah was also characterized by the rise of many disciplines. The underlying themes of these sciences, were their depth, breadth, and their authors’ attempts to fuse the rising sciences together. Indeed, many of the books resembled encyclopaedias. lbn Taymeeyah had benefited from such an environment, but at the same time he did not content himself to that which he was taught. Instead, he was diligent in learning but maintained an independence of thought. This meant that he was not restricted to one teacher or school of thought, and thereby he gained from all, and produced novel ideas. This search for knowledge led him to be familiar with many of his age’s cultures and creeds. He wrote extensively on beliefs, explaining the true one and rebuking those who disagreed; but tafseer (explanation of the Qur’aan) remained the subject that always captivated him. “I might read a hundred interpretations of one verse, but would still ask Allaah’s guidance in its comprehension saying, ‘Oh teacher of Aadam and lbraaheem teach me!’ I would also go to the deserted masjids and ask Allah, ‘Oh teacher of lbraaheem! Make me comprehend.’” His contemporaries were quick to recognise his merit, as al-Qadi az-Zamalkaanee gave a true description, “Just as Allaah had made iron soft for Daawood, He made sciences supple for Ibn Taymeeyah’s grasp.”

Why was Ibn Taymeeyah such a distinguished figure, one might ask. Firstly, there was his constant and unbroken bond with the masses of Muslims, for he was their teacher and mentor, he would resolve their problems and defend their rights in the face of the rulers. He would try to keep them steadfast when their enemies attacked, he would enjoin the good and forbid the evil, and most especially, he was not diverted by mundane worldly matters. Therefore, the whole of his time was devoted to attaining knowledge and participating in jihads. Indeed, it was this strong connection that made the general masses of Damascus love, respect and honour him. Even the most jealous of his enemies were not able to harm him there, but instead they had their chance in Egypt where he was not as well known.

These sincere feelings for the affairs of Muslims can be sensed when Shaykh ul-lslaam spoke regarding politics, “Civilisation is rooted in justice, and the consequences of oppression are devastating. Therefore, it is said that Allaah aids the just state even if it is non-Muslim, yet withholds His help from the oppressive state even if it is Muslim.” He also said,”There are sincere Muslims who perceive that commanding a high post (3) inevitably leads to love of rule and wealth. Some common Muslims regard the acceptor of such responsibility, as a turning away from the ‘religion of mercy and humbleness’. However, the correct attitude is that the appointment of the virtuous serves the Ummah far better than assigning posts to the wicked.” His concern was also with the public in economic problems, attacking those who establish monopolies over foodstuffs, “In times of need, the ruler can force people to sell their goods at their original value!” Continue reading

The History Of The Qur’anic Text From Revelation To Compilation

The History of the Qur’anic Text from Revelation to Compilation : A Comparative Study with the Old and New Testaments

The Qur’an reigns supreme in Muslim hearts as the most sacred of texts: a profusion of exalted ideas to rouse the mind, noble histories to stir the soul, universal truths to awaken the conscience and precise injunctions directing humanity to its own deliverance, all distilled into the melodious essence that is the Word of Allah. Through fourteen centuries Muslims have persevered in championing the text against corruption, memorising its every word and contemplating its every phrase, so that in our own times untold millions have enthusiastially committed each letter to heart.

Beginning with a catalogue of ancient and contemporary attacks on the Qur’an, this expansive book provides unique insights into the holy text’s immaculate preservation throughout its history, as well as exploring many of the accusations levelled against it. The reception of divine revelations, Prophet Muhammad’s role in teaching and disseminating these verses, the text’s compilation under his guidance and the setting of its final external shape shortly after his death, are meticulously and scientifically examinded alongside such topics as the origins of Arabic, its palaeography and orthography, the so-called Mushaf of Ibn Mas’ud, and the strict methodology employed in assembling textual fragments.

By way of comparison the author investigates the histories of the Old and New Testaments, relying entirely on Judaeo-Christian sources including the Dead Sea Scrolls and uncovers a startling range of alterations that touch almost every fact of the Biblical Scriptures. Using this as a springboard for assessing Western theories regarding the Qur’an, he makes a sophisticated yet passionate case for questioning the aims of Western scholarship in continuously undermining Islam’s holy book, and illustrates convincingly that such research, motivated by more than mere curiousity, has no scientific bearing on the Qur’an’s integrity.

This monumental effort, a scholarly work composed in an impassioned tone, provides a welcome foundation for sincere study at a time when assailing the Qur’an has become all too common. Continue reading

An Explanation Of Riyadh Al-Saliheen From The Words Of The Master Of The Messengers

https://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/an-explanation-of-riyadh-al-saliheen.jpg

Imam Nawawi; Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 307 | Size: 12.5 MB

A comprehensive explanation and commentary of the first 24 hadith of Imam al-Nawawi’s classic compilation, Riyadh al-Saliheen.

Verily all Praise is for Allah, we praise Him, we seek His assistance, and we appeal for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our souls, and from the evil of our actions. Whosoever Allah guides, there is none to lead him astray, and whosoever Allah leads astray, there is none to guide him.

I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of being worshipped except Allah alone, without [any form] of associate. I testify that Muhammad is His Slave and Messenger, Seal of the Prophets, and Master of the Messengers. He is His proof upon His entire creation.

Allah the Most High sent him with the True Religion and the Straight Path. He fashioned his Vocation, universal and absolute until the Day of Judgement. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family.

Verily Allah the Exalted, the Most High, sent His Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) with the Guidance, and revealed upon him al-Qur’an. A complete constitution for this eternal Ummah, until Allah inherits the earth and that which is upon it.

He bestowed upon him the interpretation of al-Qur’an and something comparable to it, with it.

For the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) is composed of statement and action, it is derived from the Book of Allah, and is indicative of its meaning.

The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) promptly seized the Noble Book and the Purified Sunnah, safeguarding, studying and recording [the two sources of revelation].

Allah obligated Himself the task of protecting and preserving His Honoured Book. He appointed for the Prophetic tradition, those who would protect and devote their attention to it, from the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to our time now, and until Allah inherits the earth and that which is upon it.

By the providence/ of Allah, the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) has occupied the platform of patronage and concern by the Scholars in every age and land. Hence, they have completed the preservation, recording and codification [of the Sunnah] [by means of] the works of Musnad, the authentic compilations, the works of Sunan, and the Hadeeth based lexicons. From amongst those who have participated in this noble service of the Sunnah and it’s codification is Imam Abu Zakariyyah Yahya ibn SharafAl-Nawawee Al-Dimashqee [631-676 H]. He is reckoned to be amongst the exemplary and distinguished personalities of the seventh century. He authored numerous books of great benefit in miscellaneous subjects, ubiquitously accredited with praise and eulogy for their immense value.

Accordingly, the Scholars devoted themselves to their study, deriving benefit, and transmitting from them by virtue of their utility. Amongst the most ubiquitous in presence and apparent in circulation, between the Scholars’ and the general populace, is the book [entitled] Riyadh al- Saliheen. Continue reading

Hell: A Vision From Within

Abdur-Rahman Abdul-Khaliq

Praise be to Allah, the One Whom we ask for assistance and forgiveness. We ask for Allah’s refuge to secure us from our own evil selves, our wrong doings, and misdeeds; for whomever Allah, His Almighty guides and leads will never go astray, and whomever Allah, His Almighty misleads will never find the right path. I, also, testify that there is no God but Allah, the Only, who has no partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His prophet and His slave.

“O you who believe! Fear Allah (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. [Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him Always,] and die not except in a state of Islam (as Muslims) with complete submission to Allah.” (The Noble Qur’an 3:102)

“O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam,) and from him (Adam) He created his wife (Eve,)and from them both He created many men and women, and fear Allah through whom you demand your mutual (rights,) and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship) Surely, Allah is Ever an All Watcher over you” (The Noble Qur’an 4:1)

“O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth. He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him) he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the HellFire and made to enter Paradise.)” (The Noble Qur’an 34:70-71)

At the Beginning of the Road: Paradise was the Goal
I was on the first steps of the path, the path of Islam, which was at my early youth, gratitude and praise be to Allah. I used to consider paradise as the place that I should be working for. Probably, not only my hope, but also my feelings were that I deserved it! I had the feeling that the mere idea of hell and the thought of escaping from it was not applicable to a person of my hard work and prayers, for such a person as I am does not belong there, by Allah’s will, and will not enter it. Therefore, such a person does not have to fear it or to keep on asking Allah to save him from it. However, If he does so, then he is only following prophet Muhammad, Allah’s peace and blessings be on him, and imitating him, who himself asks to be saved from Hell, with the assurance that he is not one of its inhabitants. I have often felt, when I used to ask for Allah’s forgiveness, that I haven’t committed deeds that call for a so long regret, or a so much sorrow; Allah has enabled me to give up, and apologize for the sin that I have committed. This is repentance enough.

I have continued thinking in such a way for quite a period of my religious life. Then, when I began comprehending The Holly Qu’oran, realizing the true meaning of faith, the true meaning of sin, and started studying the morals of the prophets, the virtuous men, and the men of faith, the previous feeling of security started to disappear slowly. My prime and final worry circulated totally around escaping hell, and escaping what comes before it of painful torture. As for heaven, the whole heaven, namely paradise, there are other measures, and efforts that my will, power, and devotion were way below. Moreover, if I cry over the sins that I have committed, from this day until I die, my sorrows will not be enough, and if Allah’s mercy does not over shadow me with His forgiveness, then I will be one of the losers. So how did that happen?

Allah has granted humankind certain span of life in this world and with it the ability to think and then decide their course in this life. After that, everyone will die and be buried. Then all of Allah’s creation will be brought back to life on the Day of Judgment. Those who did well on the earth will be rewarded with Heaven/Paradise, but those who were unfortunate (i.e., the wrongdoers) will be sent to Hell. Heaven is the abode of enjoyment, which Allah prepared for the righteous and Hell is the abode for penalty or torment, which He set up for the disbelievers. This book shows Hell from inside based on the authentic Hadeeths. Continue reading

Seventy Ways To Earn Reward From Allaah

All praise is due to Allaah alone; may He send salutations and exalt the mention of the seal of all Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, his family and all his companions.

It is from the mercy of Allah that He has legislated many deeds through which people can earn great rewards. In this leaflet, we will mention some of the acts which Muslims should exert extra effort in performing in order to increase their account in their record of good deeds.

The first Five Ways to Earn Reward from Allaah:

1. Repentance done sincerely for Allaah: The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Allah will forgive the sins of anybody who repents before the sun rises from the west (i.e., a major sign for the Day of Judgment).” (Muslim) He (PBUH) also said: “Allaah accepts the repentance of His slaves until the time of their death (i.e., when the soul is departing).” (Tirmidhi)
2. ‘Umrah during Ramadhaan: The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Performing ‘Umrah during it (Ramadhaan) is like performing Hajj with me.” (Bukhaari & Muslim)
3. Recitation of the Qur’aan: The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Recite the Qur’aan, for it will intercede for you (with Allaah) on the Day of Judgment.” (Muslim)
4. Learning and teaching the Qur’aan: The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur’aan and teaches it to others.” (Bukhaari)
5. The Mention of Allah: The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Shall I not tell you about the best of your deeds, the most pure (i.e., righteous and sincere) of them to your Creator, that which will entitle you to the highest ranks for the sake of Allaah, which is better than fighting your enemies in Jihaad where you kill them or they kill you (i.e., you become martyrs)?” The people replied: “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” So he (PBUH) said: “The mention of Allaah.” (Tirmidhi) Continue reading

The Relief From Distress An Explanation To The Du’a Of Yunus

Shaykhul-Islam Ahmad Ibn Taymiyyah
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 253 | Size: 20 MB

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah sanctify his soul, was asked about the saying of the Prophet (pbuh),

The invocation of my brother Yunus, “none has the right to be worshipped save You; glory be to You, far removed are You from any imperfection; I have been amongst the wrong-doers,” none who is experiencing difficulty employs it except that Allah would relieve him of his difficulty.

# What is the meaning of this du’a (prayer, supplication)?
# Are their any unstated conditions that have to be met when one articulates it?
# What is the connection between belief in the heart and the meaning of this supplication such that it leads to the removal of difficulty?
# Why did he explicitly confess, ‘I have been amongst the wrong-doers’ when it is known that tawhid in itself leads to the removal of difficulty?
# Is it sufficient to acknowledge ones’ sin alone, or must this be accompanied by repentance and the firm resolve not to repeat that sin in the future?
# Why is it that difficulty and harm is removed only when a person relinquishes any hope, reliance and dependency upon the creation?
# How can the heart relinquish the characteristic of putting hope in the creation and depending on them, and instead put its hope in Allah, Exalted is He, and turn to Him in its entirety?
# What are the methods that would aid the heart in doing this?

Accepting A Gift From A Kaafir On The Day Of His Festival

https://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/accepting-a-gift-from-a-kaafir-on-the-day-of-his-festival.jpg

Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 08 | Size: 1 MB

A question answered by Shaikh Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid regarding: My neighbour is an American Christian, and she and her family brought me a gift when it was Christmas. I could not refuse the gift, lest she be offended. Can I accept this gift, as the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) accepted gifts from kaafirs?.

Praise be to Allah.

Firstly:

The basic principle is that it is permissible to accept gifts from kaafirs, so as to soften their hearts and make Islam attractive to them, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) accepted gifts from some of the kaafirs, such as the gift of al-Muqawqis etc.

Al-Bukhaari gave a chapter in his Sahih the title of: Accepting gifts from the mushrikeen. He (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Abu Hurayrah (may Allah have mercy on him) said, narrating from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Ibrahim (peace be upon him) migrated with Sarah and entered a city in which there was a king or a tyrant, and he said: ‘Give her Haajar (as a gift).’” And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was given as a gift a (roast) sheep in which there was poison. Abu Humayd said: The king of Aylah gave the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) a white mule and a cloak, and wrote to him. And he mentioned the story of the Jewish woman and her gift of a poisoned sheep to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Secondly:
It is permissible for a Muslim to give gifts to kaafirs and mushriks, with the aim of softening their hearts towards Islam, especially if they are relatives or neighbours. ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave a hullah (suit) to his mushrik brother in Makkah, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari (2619).

But it is not permissible to give a kaafir a gift on the day of one of his festivals, because that is regarded as approving of or participating in celebration of the false festival. If the gift is something that will help in celebrating the festival, such as food, candles and the like, then it is even more haraam, and some of the scholars are of the view that this is kufr. Four Key Concepts From The Qur’an

https://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/four-key-concepts-from-the-qur-an.jpg

M. Mawdudi
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 32 | Size: 1 MB

Ilah, Rabb, Deen and ’Ibadah, are four terms basic to the whole teaching of the Qur’an. Through- out its pages, it  stresses again and again that Allah Almighty is the Rabb and the Ilah ;that there is no ilah but He, nor is there  any other rabb, nor does He share with anyone else the qualities and attributes implied by these terms. He, and He  alone should therefore be accepted as one’s Ilah and Rabb, and no-one else should in the least be believed to  possess the attributes which these words imply. It also demands that we should give our ibadah to Him and Him  alone, and not to anyone else, and make our deen exclusive to Him and reject all other deens! And to every  Messenger We ordained before you (O Prophet), the message which We gave for himself and for others) was none other  than that ”There is no Ilah but Myself, and therefore give your ’ibadah to Me alone… Continue reading

25 Dua’s From The Holy Qur’an

https://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/25-dua-s-from-the-holy-qur-an.png

25 Dua’s From The Holy Qur’an
Language: Arabic – English | Format: EXE | Dua’s: 25 | Size: 1 MB

Du’a is a supplication in Islam, an Arabic term which means to ‘call out’ or to ’summon’. We as muslims use this  term and call out to Allah (SWT), and we also regard this as one of the second greatest acts of worship in Islam.  Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is reported to have said “Dua is the very essence of worship.” One of Allah’s (SWT)  commands expressed to us through the Noble Qur’an is for them to call out to it.

Allah (SWT) says:

And your Lord hath said: Pray unto Me and I will hear your prayer. Lo! those who scorn My service, they will enter hell, disgraced. [Al-Ghafir: 60]

And He (SWT) says:

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِى عَنِّى فَإِنِّى قَرِيبٌ‌ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعۡوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ‌ۖ فَلۡيَسۡتَجِيبُواْ لِى وَلۡيُؤۡمِنُواْ بِى لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡشُدُونَ

And when My servants question thee concerning Me, then surely I am nigh. I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he crieth unto Me. So let them hear My call and let them trust in Me, in order that they may be led aright. [Al-Baqara: 186] Continue reading

Letter To Mulla Muhammad Umar From The Scholars

As-Salāmu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullāhi Wa Barakātuh. We ask Allāh, the Most High, that this letter of ours reaches you while you are in the fullest of health and wellbeing. Commander of the believers (Amīr Al-Mu’minīn): We – the collective scholars– are honoured to have the likes of you attributed to our nation (Ummah), because you have affirmed, in reality, the supremacy and honour of the believers. You were not satisfied with declaring that you are the dominant, rather you confirmed this great meaning through your noble deeds, as the dominance in the land is not merely the material dominance, rather its most important and its greatest, is the dominance of religion and moral values. As Allāh, the Most High, said:

وَلَا تَهِنُواْ وَلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَوۡنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

“And do not become weak (against your enemy), nor grieve, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers. [Āl ‘Imrān: 139]. Continue reading

A Call To Migrate From The Lands Of The Disbelievers To The Lands Of The Muslims

https://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/a-call-to-migrate.jpg

Shaykh ‘Abd al‐‘Azīz bin Sālih al‐Jarbū’
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 66 | Size: 1 MB

The believers have had a recent taste of the calls of the delinquents in our societies – those who seek to deceive their religion and Ummah – for the Muslims to gather and live with the disbelievers, and that we must fear for ourselves from ourselves – not from the West, and not from the disbelieving, apostate governments – and that there is no problem whatsoever for us in living with the Jews and Christians, or with the regimes that serve them, and that the problem with the West and the apostate regimes is in living with us. These deceivers are confused between the mercy and freedom given by Islām to the People of the Book – a very narrow, specific freedom – versus taking them as allies, and between the delaying of implementing the rulings of apostasy upon the apostates due to the lack of ability to do so versus loving to live with them, since they have never been exposed to the true nature of this religion. They lack deep faith in this belief, and they do not realize the nature of the battle between us and the enemies of Allāh, who are of various beliefs, some even being from those who ascribe themselves to Islām. This book takes a detailed look at the life of one of the great figures in islamic history. A commanding leader in jihad and of men. Salah ad-Din was one of those who guided people to the right path. One may ask why the author preferred Salah ad-Din’s biography over other figures. The answer is that Salah ad-Din’s life is connected with the manifest victory and liberation of Jerusalem from Crusaders. Readers will find in book chapters how such victory was achieved by a Kurdish man, not an Arab; how he unified the Muslim ummah under his guiding leadership; how he convinced the people to follow the Islamic Shariah; how he fought in the name of Islam and to make Allah’s word supreme; and how he treated the enemies with good manners and noble morals. Readers will also find the noblest qualities by which he was distinguished and the most important reforms he achieved. In brief, the reader will obtin a general outline of the life of Salah ad-Din. Take Your Beliefs From The Qur’an And Sunnah

https://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/take-your-beliefs-from-the-qur-an-and-sunnah.jpg

Muhammad Jameel Zeeno
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 119 | Size: 1 MB

Take your Belief from the Quran and Sunnah: a booklet containing important questions of religious beliefs, the writer replied it was seeded with evidence from the Quran and Sunnah; to reassure the reader to answer correctly; because the doctrine of unification (Tawheed) is the basis of His Excellency rights in this world and the Hereafter.

Introduction:

Verily, all praise is due to Allaah, we praise Him and we seek His Aid and we ask His Forgiveness and we seek refuge with Allaah from the wickedness of ourselves and the evil of our deeds. Whomsoever Allaah guides, there is none can misguide him and whomsoever Allaah sends astray, there is none can guide him. And I testify that none is worthy of worship except Allaah, Alone, without partners and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.

As for what follows, these are important questions in ‘aqeedah which I have answered along with the evidences from the Qur`aan and hadeeth, so that the reader may rest assured that the answers are correct, because the belief in tawheed is the foundation of mankind’s happiness in the life of this world and in the Hereafter.
This booklet was one of the first in Arabic which I read on the subject of Islaamic beliefs (‘Aqeedah) several years ago, while I was a student in the Arabic Language School of Madeenah Islaamic University in Saudi Arabia. I was so impressed by its simplicity and brevity, that I determined to try to translate it. I had almost reached the end of my task when someone informed me that it had already been translated into English. Therefore I left it, with the consolation of having had good practice at the work of translation. I did not think of that translation again until a copy of it was given to me here in Zayed Centre for New Muslims and I was informed that we were going to print it. Shortly after this, it was brought to my attention that the translation left something to be desired: Text had been added in places and edited in others, while proofs given by the writer, Muhammad Ibn Jameel Zainoo, from the Qur`aan and Sunnah had been replaced with other proofs (albeit also authentic). Because of this it was decided to re-translate the book, in an attempt to produce something truer to the original.

I ask Allaah, Most High that He accept this humble effort from me and makes it of benefit to the new Muslims and the English speaking Muslims and all those who seek truth and enlightenment – Aameen.

By Allaah, I ask that He makes this work of benefit to the Muslims and that He make it purely for His sake. Continue reading

Benefits From The Story Of Prophet Yusuf (Parts 1 And 2)

Muhammad Saleh al-Munajjid

This book is an adaption of a friday khutbah given by Shaykh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid which explains the fruits that can be taken from the life of prophet Yoosuf (may Allah be pleased with him). This chapter Yusuf relates to the story of one of the noble prophets, peace be upon him, and includes great admonitions and numerous benefits for the believers, as well as Islaamic rulings which the scholars of Islaam have extracted from this wonderful story that Allaah revealed to His Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. The story of Prophet Yusuf, peace be upon him, has a distinct, beautiful style, and neither the Jews nor the Christians have anything like it in their books, especially in such detail.
