Allah (Subhânahu wa Ta‘âlâ – Glorified and Exalted is He) is the Most-Kind, the Most Compassionate. He did not leave people to go astray. Indeed, He sent prophets to tell people who had created them, why they had been created, what is His right on them [being their Lord], what are the rights of human beings towards Him if they obey Him, what are His attributes, how to worship Him, what is the fact behind death, and what is going to happen after death: paradise for those who follow Hismessengers and hell-fire for those who don’t.

Allah, the most-kind and Wise, did not give a chance to the followers of Jesus (‘alayhi as-salâm – peace be upon him) to forever suffer, split and conflict between themselves on the reality of his personality. Indeed, He sent Prophet Muhammad (salla Allâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam – blessings and peace be upon him) to unveil the fact and solve what people perceived as a mystery or a point of great division.

This humble work sheds light on the personality of a great prophet, Prophet Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon them both). It details his characteristics, and clarifies all the doubts about his personality by clearly referring the reader to specific references in the Bible and other Islamic sources. These have been supported with theoretical and logical proofs which ultimately set Prophet Jesus, in the mind of the fair reader, at the correct level without committing any extremes or deviation.

Before I leave you with the book, I would like to thank all those respected scholars, who gave me a chance to learn and quote extensively from their books, especially Dr. Jamal Badawi, Dr. Bilal Philips, Dr. Ahmed Deedat, Dr. Naji Arfaj and Brother Muhammad bin Abdullah Caraballo. My small contribution is mainly a compilation of passages from their wonderful works.

With this short preface, I leave you to peruse the book. Continue reading

Islam’s Revival of Jesus’ Teachings

Every individual is born into a religious environment that is not in accordance with his/her choice; a child is raised to follow the religion or ideology of his/her family, society or culture. Even as a new-born, he/she is assigned either the religion of his/her family or the ideology of the state; in some countries, the child’s assigned religion is even recorded on his/her birth certificate. By the time individuals reach their teens, they have usually accepted the beliefs of their parents or their particular society, feeling that they have little choice in the matter.

However, individuals often encounter, or are exposed, to various beliefs and ideologies throughout the course of their lives, leading many to question long-held beliefs, traditions or philosophical ideas. They begin to question the validity of their own beliefs. Seekers of truth often reach a point of confusion, especially upon realising that the believers of every religion, sect, ideology and philosophy claim to profess the one and only truth.

A main point of confusion in the minds of the majority of Christians is the relation between the two main two religions: Christianity and Islam.

The bulk of Christians perceive Prophet Muhammad (salla Allâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam – blessings and peace be upon him) and the teachings he brought to be in great conflict with the teachings brought by Jesus (‘alayhi as-salâm – peace be upon him).

This book and its twin Muhammad in the Bible prove to the fair reader that Jesus indicated the advent of Prophet Muhammad, and that the latter revived the teachings brought by the former.

Before we delve into the book, it should be noted that when beginning one’s search the true religion, one should keep the following four things in mind:

Firstly, Allah (subhânahu wa Ta‘âlâ – Glorified and Exalted is He) has given us the ability and the intellect to discover the answer to this crucial question, which is also a lifechanging decision: What is the True Religion?

Secondly, Allah, the Most Compassionate, has not left us to go astray without any guidance. Indeed, He sent us prophets with scriptures to show us the right path.

Thirdly, always remember the underlying reason for this search: the ever-lasting life to come depends upon finding the true religion in this life. This should be your ultimate motivation, and a driving force to keep you searching until you are completely satisfied.

Fourthly, one can only determine the true path and make a rational and correct decision if one willingly puts aside, all the emotions and prejudices, which often blind one to reality.

I would like to thank those respected scholars who gave me the chance to learn and quote extensively from their books, especially Dr. Jamal Badawi, Dr. Bilal Philips, and Brother Muhammad bin Abdullah Caraballo. My small contribution is mainly a compilation of passages from their wonderful works.

The Crusades Through Arab Eyes (Audio Book)

Amin Maalouf

European and Arab versions of the Crusades have little in common. For Arabs, the twelfth and thirteenth centuries were years of strenuous efforts to repel a brutal and destructive invasion by barbarian hordes. In “The Crusades Through Arab Eyes”, Amin Maalouf has sifted through the works of a score of contemporary Arab chroniclers of the Crusades, eyewitnesses and often participants in the events.

He retells their stories in their own vivacious style, giving us a vivid portrait of a society rent by internal conflicts, and shaken by a traumatic encounter with an alien culture. He retraces two critical centuries of Middle Eastern history, and offers fascinating insights into some of the forces that shape Arab and Islamic consciousness today.

Reviews:

‘A useful and important analysis adding much to existing western histories … worth recommending to George Bush.’ London Review of Books ‘Well-researched and highly readable.’ The Guardian ‘A wide readership should enjoy this vivid narrative of stirring events.’ The Bookseller ‘An inspiring story … Very readable … Well translated … Warmly recommended.’ The Times Literary Supplement ‘Very well done indeed … Should be put in the hands of anyone who asks what lies behind the Middle East’s present conflicts.’ Middle East International

A Comparison Between Islam, Christianity And Judaism And The Choice Between Them

Muhammad Al-Sayed Muhammad

All praises are due to Allah Lord of the worlds, Originator of the heavens and the Earth, the Creator of darkness and light, I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone without ascribing any partners to him, the Protector of the believers and the One who guides them to the straight path. I testify that Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him is his slave and messenger. O’ Allah send your peace and blessing upon Muhammad the Prophet and seal of the Prophets and Messengers, who was sent with the illumination, he delivered the trust and admonished his nation and Allah wiped away all of the darkness, and peace and blessings be upon his wives and his purified household and his blessed companions, who gave him victory and all those who were guided from his guidance, and emulated his way, and followed his traditions till the Day of Judgment.

As to what follows:

In the recent past especially since the advent of the satellite T.V channel, there has been a stark increase in the attacks on the religion of God, Islam, the aim is simply to lead people astray from it.

It has manifested itself in spite of the increased number of people accepting Islam around the world. They are systematically exploiting peoples ignorance about Islam and perpetually poisoning.

Therefore with the will and grace of Allah in this treatise a comparative study of Islam Christianity and Judaism, with particular attention to their creeds respectively.

This will clarify for us the authentic from the unreliable, the acceptable and the unacceptable, so that the objective reader can decide with certainty between the three faiths.

To begin with I plea to all parties be they; Muslim Christian or Jew to free themselves from partisanship and their desires when choosing what is more deserving to be followed, as this decision will be a proof against them on the Day of Judgment, in front of Allah. So it is important at the beginning that one takes a moment with oneself being absolutely truthful with oneself and Allah in the sincere search for the truth, before a day where neither money nor offspring with assist them, except a man who will go to Allah with a sound heart.

I ask Allah to guide us all to the truth that has no doubt, and that he expand our chest and that he enables us to tread upon the path of truth, His path, until the day we meet him indeed he is the One who is capable of doing it.

Who are “The People of The Book”?

The term The People of The Book in brief refer to the Christians and the Jews who were recipients of the “heavenly religions” respectively.

There is little doubt that these faiths had been altered and have deviated from their original course, and by doing so were no longer within the guidance that God Almighty had chosen for human kind.

What ties the Christians to the Jews and what are the similarities between the two?

Before looking furthers one must note that the Christians and the Jews are in opposition of one another and have severe enmity between them and so unifying them is impossible.

One of the main causes for these irreconcilable differences is their differing creeds, as the Christians believe in the divinity of Christ and say that he is one of three in the trinity, claiming that he was crucified and killed on the cross at the hands of the Jews, he was then resurrected from the dead and raised to heaven.

On the contrary the Jews in turn completely deny the prophet-hood of Jesus claiming that he was illegitimately born out of wedlock, and are condescending of his mother.

The points of contention between the two are numerous but the point indicated above is sufficient to show that brining together these two faiths is an impossible task.

Despite the efforts of the world media to show Christianity and Judaism in a good light as partners of one another and with a mutual agreement between the two, the truth could not be further away, and this is only a veneer that they both are content with in order to demonise and attack Islam, which is a commonality between the two.

The truth behind the façade is the following:

The Jews are convinced that if they rebuild the structure of Solomon then their Saviour will emerge and he is the Messiah Dajjal (the anti-Christ) as is foretold in their scripture.

And in that fact is a testimony to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who said; “ the Dajjal (anti-Christ) with be followed by 70,000 of the Jews of Asafhaan who will be wearing the Tayaalisah” or clothes of their religious men” One may ask if this is the number of their clergymen what is the number of their congregation.

Their belief having rejected the prophet hood of Jesus are waiting for their saviour who was mentioned in their scripture who will subjugate the people of the Earth for them, what is even more shocking is that the Anti-Christ who will be believed in by the Jews as their saviour, will be blind in one eye and have a human body and will finite and definable, i.e. in a particular place, which is something not attributable to Almighty God who is not encompassed in a place like the Messiah of the Jews.

As for the Christians:

Then their belief revolves around the fact that if the Anti-Christ emerges then that would signal the beginning of a new era for the Christians who will again rule the
Earth from Jerusalem. So the Christians consider the Jews a stepping-stone to eventual world domination.

This is why they the Christians are anxious that if the Muslims were to be victorious against the Jews this would delay the decent of Christ.

So it is clear the reason why the West and particularly the U.N is obsessed with supporting the state of Israel even when they have established a country on stolen land.

So from what has been clarified the veneer of peace between the Christians and Jews is one built on mutual benefits for both of them and yet there lies a deep resentment and enmity between the two that can result in any moment spilling in to war, if recent history is anything to go by. Jesus The Messiah

Prophethood : to convey the Divine message

Islam is a religion and a way of life in tune with the reason and logic endowed on us humans by our Creator. There is no mystery and no ambiguity in the final divine message that has been sent to all mankind. “Allah desires to explain to you, and to guide you into the ways of those before you, and to turn to you (mercifully), and Allah is Knowing, Wise. And Allah desires that He should turn to you (mercifully), and those who follow (their) lusts desire that you should deviate (with) a great deviation. Allah desires that He should make light your burdens, and man is created weak.” [The Qur’an, 4:26-28].

Islam is the submission to the Creator of the heavens and earth by performing righteous deeds and avoiding prohibitive actions. A person who submits his will to the will of Allah is therefore a Muslim: “Whoever submits his whole self to Allah, and is a doer of good, has grasped indeed the most trustworthy hand-hold: and with Allah rests the end and decision of (all) affairs.” [The Qur’an, 31:22].

As Muslims, we believe in all the Prophets of Allah, as this is one of the six pillars of faith in our religion. The six pillars of faith are: 1. The belief in Allah 2. The belief in His angels 3. The belief in His books 4. The belief in His Prophets 5. The belief in the Day of Judgment. 6. The belief in the divine decree and destiny, whether good or bad.

The belief in the Prophets of Allah

Islam links us with all the noble Prophets of Allah since it is based on their pure teachings. Muslims believe in all the Prophets of Allah making no distinction in the belief towards them. “The messenger believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the believers. Each one (of them) believes in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. “We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers.” And they say: “We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the end of all journeys.” [The Qur’an, 2:285].

Consequently it is a major sin in Islam to disbelieve in any of the Prophets of Allah: from Adam to Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them).

It is with the concept of the unity of God and the unity of Prophethood that their religion is described as one, for they all called people to believe in One God, Allah i.e. to devote worship sincerely to Him Alone (Monotheism). Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“The Prophets are like brothers from one father; their mothers are different but their religion is one” [Bukhari, 3443].

With regards to laws, each of them had his own given law that was amenable and apt for a particular time and for a specific community to run their lives accordingly. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way” [The Qur’an, 5:48].

Out of all the Prophets of Allah, Allah (may He be exalted) has favored five Prophets i.e. Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and finally Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon them) referring to them as the messengers of great-will. This is in consideration to the enormity of the task and mission that Allah has bestowed upon them: “The same religion has He established for you (O Muhammad) as that which He enjoined on Noah – that which We have sent by inspiration to you – and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that you should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein” [The Qur’an, 42:13].

The Virgin Mary

Jesus’ mother, Mary (peace be upon her), received special attention in the noble Qur’an even though all the Prophets with the exception of Adam had mothers.

“And when the angels said: O Mary! Surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the world” [The Qur’an, 3:42].

Interestingly, an entire chapter in the glorious Qur’an is dedicated to, and named, after Mary (Chapter 19 ‘Maryam’). Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) has said: “Mary is the best among the women during her time” [Bukhari, 3531].

Mary (peace be upon her), received the glad tidings that Allah would bestow upon her a child, whom He would create with the word ‘Be’ and ‘it is’.

“O Mary! Allah gives you glad tidings of a word from Him: his name will be Jesus the Messiah, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah. “He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous.” [The Qur’an, 3:45-46].

But then Mary replied surprisingly,

“My Lord! How can I have a child when no man has touched me?” [The Qur’an, 3:47]

The reply was : “Even so (it will be), Allah creates what He pleases; when He has decreed a matter, He only says to it, Be, and it is.” [The Qur’an, 3:47].

Therefore we believe that Jesus was born miraculously without any male intervention. Continue reading

The Muslims Beliefs Concerning The Messiah

Sheikh Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid

What are the Muslims’ beliefs concerning the Messiah ‘Eesa ibn Maryam?

Praise be to Allaah.

Our beliefs concerning the Messiah ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (Jesus the son of Mary – peace be upon him) are those indicated by the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of our Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

We believe that ‘Eesa (peace be upon him) was one of the slaves of Allaah, and one of His noble Messengers. Allaah sent him to the Children of Israel to call them to believe in Allaah alone and worship Him alone.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): {And (remember) when ‘Eesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: ‘O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allaah unto you, confirming the Tawraat [(Torah) which came] before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.’ But when he (Ahmad, i.e. Muhammad) came to them with clear proofs, they said: ‘This is plain magic’}[al-Saff 61:6].

Transliteration: Waith qala AAeesa ibnu maryama ya banee israeela innee rasoolu Allahi ilaykum musaddiqan lima bayna yadayya mina alttawrati wamubashshiran birasoolin yatee min baAAdee ismuhu ahmadu falamma jaahum bialbayyinati qaloo hatha sihrun mubeenun

{But the Messiah [‘Eesa (Jesus)] said: ‘O Children of Israel! Worship Allaah, my Lord and your Lord.’ Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with Allaah, then Allaah has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are no helpers} [al-Maa’idah 5:72].

Transliteration: Laqad kafara allatheena qaloo inna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama waqala almaseehu ya banee israeela oAAbudoo Allaha rabbee warabbakum innahu man yushrik biAllahi faqad harrama Allahu AAalayhi aljannata wamawahu alnnaru wamalilththalimeena min ansarin

‘Eesa was not a god or the son of God as the Christians claim.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): {Surely, they have disbelieved who say: ‘Allaah is the Messiah [‘Eesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary).’} [al-Maa’idah 5:72].

Transliteration: Laqad kafara allatheena qaloo inna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama

{And the Jews say: ‘Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allaah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allaah. That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. Allaah’s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!} [al- Tawbah 9:30].

Transliteration: Waqalati alyahoodu AAuzayrun ibnu Allahi waqalati alnnasara almaseehu ibnu Allahi thalika qawluhum biafwahihim yudahioona qawla allatheena kafaroo min qablu qatalahumu Allahu annayufakoona

The first words that ‘Eesa spoke when Allaah caused him to speak when he was in the cradle were (interpretation of the meaning): {He [‘Eesa (Jesus)] said: ‘Verily, I am a slave of Allaah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet’} [Maryam 19:30].

Transliteration: Qala innee AAabdu Allahi ataniya alkitaba wajaAAalanee nabiyyan

We believe that Allaah supported him with miracles that proved he was speaking the truth.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): {(Remember) when Allaah will say (on the Day of Resurrection). ‘O ‘Eesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Remember My Favour to you and to your mother when I supported you with Rooh‑ul‑Qudus [Jibreel (Gabriel)] so that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I taught you writing, Al‑Hikmah (the power of understanding), the Tawraat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel); and when you made out of the clay, a figure like that of a bird, by My Permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by My Permission, and you healed those born blind, and the lepers by My Permission, and when you brought forth the dead by My Permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from you (when they resolved to kill you) as you came unto them with clear proofs, and the disbelievers among them said: This is nothing but evident magic’} [al-Maa’idah 5:110].

We believe that ‘Eesa was born from the Virgin Maryam with no father, and that is not impossible for Allaah Who, when He wills a thing, says “Be!” and it is.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): {Verily, the likeness of ‘Eesa (Jesus) before Allaah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: ‘Be!’ — and he was} [Aal ‘Imraan 3:59].

Transliteration: Inna mathala AAeesa AAinda Allahi kamathali adama khalaqahu min turabin thumma qala lahu kun fayakoonu

{(Remember) when the angels said: ‘O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allaah gives you the glad tidings of a Word [‘Be!’ — and he was! i.e. ‘Eesa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary)] from Him, his name will be the Messiah ‘Eesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allaah. (45) He will speak to the people, in the cradle and in manhood, and he will be one of the righteous.’ (46) She said: ‘O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me.’ He said: ‘So (it will be) for Allaah creates what He wills. When He has decreed something, He says to it only: “Be!” and it is’} [Aal ‘Imraan 3:45-47].

Truly And Falsely Jesus In The Bible

http://futureislam.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/truly-and-falsely-jesus-in-the-bible.jpg

There is a biblical verse which clearly indicates that there was no unanimous agreement about Jesus, his reality and message, among those who went to preach about him after his ascension. Rather, there was substantial dispute among them to the point that one of those preachers announced his worry to his followers, and warned them from the deception of another preacher, who may come to them and preach a different Jesus to the one he had presented to them. This preacher depicted his counterpart as the Devil who deceived Eve by his lies, afraid that the minds of his followers may be corrupted, and that they would gladly tolerate the one who comes to them and preaches another Jesus. This is in a clear text, thus: ―I am afraid that your minds will be corrupted and that you will abandon your full and pure devotion to Christ, in the same way that Eve was deceived by the serpent’s lies. For you gladly tolerate the one who comes to you and preaches a different Jesus not the one we preached.‖ (2 Corinthians 11: 3-4)

This verse clearly speaks about two different, alternative images of Jesus were preached to people after his ascension. These two different images found their way to the New Testaments, and their pieces scattered into many chapters. These two different depictions cannot, of course, both be concurrently authentic. But one must be for Truly Jesus, and the other one is for Falsely Jesus. Both images cannot meet in one heart. Surely, Jesus cannot be the source of both different images. This book brings together these two biblical images of Jesus, examines them, explores their difference and answers the questions that may rise regarding them such as:

– What are the sources of Truly and Falsely Jesus?
– Why and how did Falsely Jesus appear?
– What title can be given to those who hang the image of Falsely Jesus in their hearts?
– When does the truth come out and falseness come to an end?
– Can the faith in Falsely Jesus benefit the one who believe in such Jesus?
– What is the relation between salvation and Jesus?
– What is the destiny of a person who relies on this false understanding?
– How can we find the correct way to God, And how can we be sure of it?
– What are the conditions of Salvation?

Can we really grasp the genuine reality of Jesus? Surely. But we risk the danger of being misguided by false information unless we purify our intention and seek the proven truth. And at this point, God will not let down his servant. Rather will guide him to the truth. Truly Jesus will remain as will as Falsely Jesus, until the Second Coming of Christ, when the truth will become clear and falsehood will be destroyed.

I pray to God to accept this effort as a sincere one, and to provide my dear readers with both clarity of intention and the ability to distinguish between the two readings of Jesus as presented in this book.

Salvation, the Goal

People of all geographic and religious backgrounds, throughout history, who believe in an afterlife, define salvation as a state of being saved from Hell. And who would not want to attain that goal? Only on the Day of Resurrection shall we be paid our recompense in full. Whosoever is removed from Hell and admitted to Paradise is indeed successful. The life of this world is but the enjoyment of illusion. Surely there can be only one true formula for salvation, but what is it? Is it a mystery or is it obvious? The followers of each religion claim that their understanding of salvation is correct. Of course there can be only one correct religion and, therefore, one correct understanding of salvation. And this must be the same conceptual understanding as taught by all the true messengers, since the first contact between heaven and earth.

We therefore need to be sure that our formula for salvation is correct before facing death. And for this purpose, with mercy, love, and care, I am writing this piece of research for you, my dear reader. I hope and pray that you will find the answers that you are looking for.

Why Jesus?

Many people believe that Jesus is the key to their salvation, their savior. Surely, he was a unique being because of his miraculous birth, his ascension and Second Coming. However, significant disputes remain about his reality and mission.

The message of God about faith and salvation was always the same throughout history. It was always based on ―submission‖ to the one and only true God, by complete obedience with devotion. This message of true faith was revealed to Adam who passed it to his children. Then it was confirmed by Noah and all the messengers and prophets of God who came after him. And it was sent throughout human history to various societies and nations, whenever they needed guidance, or when had strayed from the true path. So, the religion of God which came with all the messengers, contains the same pillars of faith even if there were different legal systems and patterns of worship from one prophet or messenger to another. That is until God chose to send the final revelation, with the final Law and the final salvation’s formula to all mankind for the remainder of human history. Continue reading

He made many academic contributions to Islamic sciences. The following are amongst his most prominent:
