All Thanks, All Praise to Allah: The One, The First, and The Final.

Many people have assisted me in completing this work. First and foremost were my beloved parents who raised me to write the present book. I love you dad, I love you mom! My wife’s assistance was more than generous. She gave me all the time, support, and patience I needed. I do not know how to reward her magnanimous heart. My dear friend, Abdulkareem Ibn Adam, read the text with extraordinary attentiveness. His remarks were very precious; many thanks brother Abdulkareem. I also thank Anton Schulz whose suggestions and choice of words were extremely helpful. Abdulaziz Al Ma’taani! The book cover speaks for itself, a witty choice. I will not forget my brothers at The Cooperative Office in Jubail. Without their support, many obstacles would have prevented this work from coming out. If any one of favor has been left out, I’m confident that there reward will be with Allah, The Most Munificent.

Faith In Predestination

Belief in pre-destination (Qada wa Qadar) is an undisputed article of faith in Islam. For some people, this belief leads to contentment and satisfaction, even in the face of hardship and adversity. But for others, it provides justification for their wrongdoings: how often do we hear people arguing that they should not be blamed for their disobedience since it has already been decreed by Allah that they will sin?

The following two articles in this booklet attempt to answer those people who genuinely wonder whether Man has any control over his actions in this life or whether he is forced to do everything that he does. The first article was originally compiled in Arabic by Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-Uthaimin, a renowned scholar from Saudi Arabia ; the second was a reply by Mr. Adil Salahi to a question which appeared on the religious pages of the daily “Arab News” of Jeddah.

It is hoped that this booklet will help to clarify the difficult issue of pre-destination.

Pre-destination and the Responsibility of man

In this article, we want to deal with an important matter that concerns all Muslims: decree and pre-destination by Allah (Qada and Qadar), a subject which has been a point of contention for scholars throughout the ages. It has been reported that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him) once found his Companions arguing about Qadar. He forbade them from indulging in such a debate and told them that communities before them had been destroyed for that reason[1].

However, by the grace of Allah, our pious ancestors were able to understand the issue and form a moderate view based on equity and justice. In their understanding, the issue of Qada and Qadar stems from the Unity of Allah’s attribute of Cherishing (Tawhid ar-Rububiyah). This is one of three kinds of Allah’s Unity:

Unity of Divinity (Tawhid Al-Uluhiyah), which is to direct all forms of worship to Allah alone.

Unity in the matter of Cherishing the whole universe (Tawhid ar-Rububiyah), which means to believe that all creation, sovereignty and planning belong to Allah.

Unity in the matter of Allah’s names and attributes. Continue reading

How do we know Islam is the religion from Allah? How do we know Islam is the truth (Haqq)? Over fourteen hundred years ago a man came and called people towards the pure and beautiful religion of Islam. He was Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) the last and final messenger sent by Allah to guide mankind.

Today, many people claim to act upon the Deen of Islam, yet how many people act upon it with certainty? Continue reading

The Truth About The Original Sin

Issues related to belief might seem to be sensitive to dread on. However, with the advances in communication and the breaking up of cultural barriers among people of various cultures, it becomes necessary that beliefs be investigated objectively and with an open mind. All concerned religious scholars and believers need to give a sympathetic ear to alternative positions or beliefs offered by people from distant cultures seeking answers to resolve or at least clarify various issues of universal nature. Especially, if such beliefs are exported to other nations side by side with all types of merchandise. As governments set quality standards on imports of all types, I think it is important to test such common values and beliefs as well. In particular, our relation with the Christian world has become so close that we both need to get acquainted with what each party has to contribute to the understanding of such pressing issues.

Since the concept of “The Original Sin” in Christianity forms the corner stone out of which a cluster of beliefs like the godship of Jesus, crucifixion and salvation have emerged. Therefore, it singles itself out as a good candidate to be studied.

The methodology that will be followed in this essay about “The Original Sin” involves two types of evidence. The first is to carry on the study based on all logical possibilities that would explain the truth value of “The Original Sin”. As a matter of fact, the writer heavily depended on arguments developed by Ibn Taymiyah – a thirteenth century prominent Muslim scholar. The second type of evidence used to study “The Original Sin” depended on drawing evidence from The Bible itself to reveal the truth of the concept in Christianity.

In doing so, it is ultimately left to the readers whom God has bestowed with intellect that distinguishes them from all other creatures to ponder, analyze, evaluate then decide for themselves. Continue reading

Shamaa-il – Tirmidhi With Commentary Kasaail-e-Nabawi Sallalahu A’layhi Wasallam. This is a Commentary on the abridged form of Imam Tirmidhi’s (209 – 279 AH) famous Shamaa-il, in which he has recorded everything about the Holy Propet (S.A.W) on the authority of the Companions, and collected 397 ahadith which are devided into 55 Chapters.  Drawing A pen picture of the Holy Prophet’s (S.A.W) physical features manners and characteristics.

This English translation and commentary is of the Khasaa-il Nabawi Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam by the late Shaykhul Hadith Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya
It is intented to enable a Muslim to achieve a link and connection with the one whom Allah Ta’aala has made as a mercy unto mankind, and most certainly Allah has spoken the truth when He mentions in His Book:

“Verily, you (0 Muhammad) are of a very high (noble) character”.

Shaikh uk Hadith Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhelwi writes the following in the Preface to this Book:

“b. Most of the references in this transalation are derived from the following books: ‘Jam’ul Wasaa-il’ of Mulla ‘Ali Qaari Hanafi; ‘Munaawi’ of Shaykh ‘Abdur-Ra-oof Misri; ‘Mawaahib-Ladunniyyah’ of Shaykh Ebrahim  Bayjuri and ‘Tah-dhibut Tah-dhib’ of Haafiz Ibn Hajar ‘Asqalaani.
c. Since the trasalation is meant for the layman, literal meanings have been given . Word for word transalation has been avoided.
d. In addition to the transalation many things have been added to serve as a commentary. This has been written separately after the actual transalation.
e. At many places in the transalation of the ahaadith additional information has been provided.
f. Where there seems to be contradiction between two hadith, the differences have been briefly explained.
g. The view of the different madhaa-hib have been mentioned briefly at places. The Hanafi mahd-dab has been specially mentioned as the majority of the local population (i.e the inhabitants of India ) adhere to this madh-hab.
h. The proof that substantiate the Hanfis madh-hab have been mentioned briefly where deemed necessary.
i. Where a battle or incident is mentioned in a hadith, the battle or incident is described in the commentary.
j. Where the relation of a hadith to a chapter is not obvious, an explanation has been provided.
k. To keep the subject matter brief, with regard to those incidents that have not been narrated herein, the readers have been referred to their original sources. The name of the kittab is given where they can be found in detail so that those who are interested may easily refer to them.
l. Utmost care has been taken to keep the subject under discussion short and precise, as readers may become bored with lengthy discourses.

And divine guidance to me is but from Allah, on Him do I rely and to Him do I return. Continue reading

The Religion Of Truth

Abdurrahman bin Hammad Al-Omar

All praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, May the peace and blessings be upon all of His messengers.

This is a call for salvation which I would like to present to every wise person, hoping that Allah, The All omnipotent and The All-Sublime, would guide by it those who have gone astray, and that He may reward me bountifully and reward everyone who participates in distributing it.

We should know that the only way for our salvation in this life and in the hereafter is to know, for sure, our lord who created us, believe in Him, and worship Him Alone. We should also know our prophet whom Allah had sent to us  and to mankind, believe in him and follow him. We should know the religion of truth which our lord commanded us to  believe in and practice it.

This book, The Religion of Truth, treats these basic and great subjects. I have indicated in the foot-notes the meaning of some words and the explanation of the some subjects, basing these explanations on The Holy Quran and the traditions of Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, because these two are the only sources of Islam, the religion of truth.

In this book, not only have I dropped blind imitation, which has already misled a large number of people before, but I have also discussed about quite number of deviated sects which still pretend to be on the right path, although they have gone astray.

This is an attempt to guide those who are related to such sects incautiously by showing them that these sects have deviated from the path of truth, and to warn others to take precautions for themselves.

May Allah guide me! He is the Most Exalted and on Him I depend. Continue reading

The Game Of The Pharaohs

The one who ponders our current situation and the actions of the present-day tawāghīt in relation to the People of Truth from the Mujāhidīn will find a clear pharaohnic phenomenon that has been implanted in them, clearly evidenced in many aspects, some of which we will discuss in this article. For they have now spread and waged their offensive, and they have begun to wage war against the People of Truth under specific heraldries, and they have been able to excite for this campaign armies from their available soldiers – magicians, scholars, authors, journalists, and broadcasters – and with all of this they are unable to confront the Truth with proof, and they are unable to confront it with evidence nor debate live on air with those who oppose them. Rather, they only organize debates with those who follow their path and their steps on the several television channels which they own such as – The first extortion: Channel 1, The second extortion: Channel 2, The third extortion: Al-’Arabiyyah Channel, The fourth extortion: Al- Majd Channel, The fifth extortion: M.B.C. Channel, and tens of other channels – as well as radio stations and newspapers – Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat, ‘Ukāth, Al- Hayāt, Al-Watan, Ar-Riyādh, Al-Bilād, Al-Jazīrah…) and more from the numerous tools of the mass media, in addition to their scholars who stand on the same turf and carry out their tasks in the best manner by way of the pulpits, lectures, admonitions and tapes. I say: All of them combined are unable to have a true dialogue with the People of Truth based upon the true Shari’ah and knowledge based principles. They know this, and the answers to the questions of the free Mujāhidīn escape them, and they are intrinsic questions put forth after intense research in the Islāmic Shari’ah, and originally published on their sites on the web and elsewhere. And they have heard their releases and calls but have been unable to answer them with truth and neutrality because the hammer of the tawāghīt will strike them.

And from the questions that were put forth are the following:

# What is the ruling on the rulers that do not judge by what Allāh has revealed, and who have inactivated the implementation of the Hudūd and the Shar’ī?
# And what is the ruling on those who arbitrate to the laws of the tawāghīt instead of the Legislation of Allāh?
# And what is the ruling upon rulers who legislate their own rivaling laws beside the Legislation of Allāh, Ta’ālā, and attribute to themselves God-like characteristics and attributes?
# And what is the ruling upon the rulers who make the Harām Halāl and the Halāl Harām?
# And what is the ruling upon the rulers who wage war on Allāh and his Messenger and the Believers by way of different and varying techniques, some of which are through enticement and some of which are through terror?
# And what is the ruling upon the rulers who drive the people away from the Religion of Allāh, Ta’ālā, and from Pure Tawhīd and plot day and night in hope of these plots succeeding?
# And what is the ruling upon the rulers who hate what Allāh has sent down from the Religion, Tawhīd, and Jihād?
# And what is the ruling upon the rulers who mock the Religion of Allāh and its Āwliyā’?!
# And what is the ruling upon the rulers that bless ash-Shirk al-Akbar (major shirk), approve of it, do not change it and don’t allow for its change?
# And what is the ruling upon the rulers who entered down to their bones in alliance with the enemies of the Ummah from the Jews and the Christians; and are at their service and serve their interests and protect them?! Continue reading
