Al-Khutoot Al-‘Areedah: An Exposition and Refutation of the Sources upon which the Shi’ite Religion is Based

Muhibbudeen Al-Khateeb

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

All praise is due to the Almighty God, Allaah. We praise Him and seek His help and forgiveness.

And we seek refuge in Allaah from the evils of our own selves and from our wicked deeds. Whosoever Allaah has guided, there is none to misguide him. And whosoever Allaah has misguided, none can guide him.

And I bear witness that there is no other god except Allaah, alone, without partner or associate. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. May Allaah the Exalted bestow His peace and blessings onto Prophet Muhammad, upon his good and pure family as well as upon all of the noble Companions and upon those who followed them in righteousness until the Day of Judgement.

It is intended through this translation of Al-Khutoot Al-‘Areedah to present to readers of English, both Muslims and non-Muslims accurate information about the faith and tenets of the Shi’ite sect known as the Twelve Imamers or Ja’faris.

It is essential for the Sunni Muslim to know the fact of the Shi’ite deviation from the straight path of Islaam taught by the Prophet Muhammad (sallahu alayhi wa salam) and his noble Companions (r.a.a.). Al-Khutoot Al-‘Areedah clearly and briefly presents the actual teachings of the Shi’ites in general, and the Twelve Imamers in particular. The reader will derive from the text an unequivocal understanding of the Shi’ite sect and will distance himself from them and their beliefs. He will realise that there can be neither reconciliation nor reunification of the Sunnis and the schismatic Shi’ites until and unless the latter renounce their perverse tenets. They must return to the pure unadulterated teachings of Islaam held and maintained by Ahlus- Sunnah wal-Jama’ah (the Sunnis).

Unfortunately, it is a common view in the West that the Irani Shi’ites and their so-called “Islaamic” revolution with all its attendant turmoil, injustice and barbarism, are representatives of Islaam. It is hoped that the non-Muslim reader of this work will come to perceive the abyss which separates the Shi’ites from the Muslim majority, and that he will no longer condemn all Muslims for the activities of one deviant sect. Refutation Of Obfuscation

All the praise is for Allah who is the Creator of all existence and the Most Generous to His creation, while He is also the All-Compelling. He is the only One having the right to be WORSHIPED without associating partners with Him (no sons, no daughters). No one He must consult and nothing is like unto Him or has any comparison with Him. He is The King of all who claim sovereignty. The only One who has the right to legislate for His creatures. He is the Giver of life and the Giver of death, while death has no effect upon Him, because He is the Ever-living the Self- Subsisting. He is the Eternal and the only Absolute. All the praise is for Allah who has Power over all things and there is no power, strength, nor influence to cause benefit or detriment except through Him. Indeed, He is the One who created this complex world (the evident and the speculative, the seen and the unseen) the heavens, the earth, and all that is in between.

It is He who sent His Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon them all) with the common message of strict MONOTHEISM (believing with obedience in the Oneness of the Almighty Creator without partners or associates with
Him).

Refutation of Obfuscation
Dear whoever is reading this book,
Allah the Most Merciful says:

“Say, O People of the Scripture (Christians and Jews), come to a word that is equitable between us and you – that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah. But if they turn away, then say, Bear witness that we are Muslims (submitting to Him)” [The Glorious Quran 3:64]

“People of the Scripture” is a respectful title given to the Jews and Christians in the Glorious Quran, and the Muslims here are commanded to invite those people, who claim to be the recipients of Divine Revelation of a Holy Scripture, to gather together onto a common word that we worship none but God Almighty. This is why we have written this book. Continue reading

Abdullah Faisal
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 141 | Size: 5.5 MB

The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “He who tells a lie on me intentionally, let him take his seat in the  Hellfire” (Bukhari volume 1, No. 107). Whenever a person quotes a fabricated hadith knowingly, he or she is guilty  of lying on the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Fabricated ahadith stunt the spiritual growth of the  Muslim Ummah. This book is a compilation and refutation of one hundred of the most famous and lethal fabricated  ahadith in the Muslim world today.

Shaikh Abdullah Faisal was born in 1963 and raised in Jamaica. He embraced Islam  at the age of 16. He studied Arabic and Islamic studies for one year in Guyana, South America and then went on for further studies at the Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, There, he studied for eight years and graduated in 1991. Among his Shaikhs are: Abdul-Hakim Quick, Abdullah Tuwayjiree, Abdul-Wahab Tarairi, Shaikh Ibn Jibreen and Naasir Umar. Continue reading

The Status Of The Sunnah In Islaam

Muhammad Naasiruddeen al-Albaanee
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 20 | Size: 1 MB

This is a translation of a booklet titled “Manzilat-us-Sunnah fil- Islaam” (The Status of the Sunnah in Islaam) of Imaam Muhammad Naasir-u-Deen Al-Albaanee, may Allaah have mercy on him. The source for this booklet was a lecture he gave in Doha, Qatar during the month of Ramadaan, 1392H. The talk was later transcribed and published. This book can be downloaded in Arabic at http://www.sahab.org.

This treatise clarifies the position of the Sunnah in Islaam, in that it bears the same status as the Qur’aan when it comes to deriving religious rulings and laws. So one cannot possibly understand and implement the Qur’aan in the absence of the Sunnah, rather they go hand in hand. Imaam Al-Albaanee gives several examples for this.

The author then goes on to explain what is meant by Sunnah in his discussion, in that it refers to only the authentic Sunnah, and not the weak and fabricated hadeeth. This is a very important treatise, defining a key principle of the Salafi Manhaj, which consists of following the Qur’aan and the Sunnah, along with the understanding of the Salaf (i.e. Sahaabah, Taabi’een, Atbaa’ at-Taabi’een). This treatise is also a refutation of the deviant groups that rely on the Qur’aan alone, such as the Qur’aaniyoon, etc. Continue reading

The Refutation Of The Doubts Concerning Bay’ah And Imaarah

Shaykh ‘Abdul-Qādir Ibn ‘Abdil-‘Azīz
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 216 | Size: 1 MB

This small treatise was extracted and compiled from two chapters of the book “Al-‘Umdah Fī I’dād Al-‘Uddah Lil-Jihādi Fī Sabīlillāhi Ta’āla” by Shaykh ‘Abdul-Qādir Ibn ‘Abdil-‘Azīz, may Allāh, the Most High, free him from prison. We have selected this section for translation and distribution, in light of the current conditions of chaos and division, which has resulted from our nation’s lack of organization, coupled with the plotting of the enemies of Islām, in the absence of general authority and leadership. Also, it is directed to the youth of the Islamic nation (Ummah) who are burdened with the task of taking up and carrying the flag in defense of their Religion (Dīn) and to salvage the fleeting leadership and commitment to reform, from within the Islamic groups and organizations. Various calls for women’s freedom, liberation and equal rights have been heard all over the world, and many slogans have been coined for the marches. In some societies women have indeed lived under oppression, cruelty and injustice, and have been denied basic rights of humanity. Nor is it denied that some Muslims have deviated from the Islamic principles and teachings. Islamic law, on the other hand, has quarantined women’s rights in a comprehensive and balanced system of human rights and obligations. Close examination of the slogans propagated by the international women’s liberation movements show that they revolve around the three elements: women’s liberation; equal rights with men; women’s rights. We will examine them in the light of Islamic law and teachings, regardless of the practices of some of the ignorant and deviant Muslims.

This book deals with the following questions and issues:

– State of women through the ages: Women in the Pre- Islamic Arab Society; Indian Society; Chinese Society; Greek Society; Roman Society; Traditional Jewish Society; Traditional Christian Society; Modern Secular Society

– Matters in which Men and Women are Equal in Islam: In basic humanity; In Application of Obligations; In rewards and punishments in this worldly life and the hereafter; In ownership and the freedom of financial transaction; In preserving the honor and nobility; In mandatory education; In bearing responsibility towards reforming the society.

– Women’s status and rights in various stages of life in the Muslim society: as a baby, child and young girl; as a sister; as a wife; as a mother; as kinsfolk and neighbor, and as a woman in general.

– Misconceptions about Women’s rights and obligations in Islam and their refutation: On polygamy; On leadership and responsibility; On the Marriage Contract and Guardianship; On wife beating; On honor killing; On divorce; On testimony; On inheritance; On blood money; On employment; On Hijab (covering head and face) Continue reading
